Glasto Luxuries

I've bought a campervan and am now acquainted with the joy of fridge. Of all the little luxuries the van brings, the fridge rules.

An igloo cooler which means five days of bacon sarnies and ice cold drinks. Also an airbed and a proper pillow.

An inflateable pillow from the pound shop, it's the little things in life that make me happy.

A blanket. Being warm at night makes all the difference.

My luxery comes as a perk of the job; hot showers for recycling crew members. Excitement, especially as the last Glastonbury I graced was 2005, at which I only showered in rain, and mud.

Staying in a tipi this year so that's a wee luxury! Thinking of taking some Bombay Sapphire for some cheeky g&ts this year, in plastic of course, and will have to get some fresh limes for that too! Oh and got a sleeping 'pod' too, no more tiny mummy sleeping bag for me this year!!

Ooooh, I really want a pod. You got the Gelert one? Is it much heavier/bulkier than a normal sleeping bag? And is it as warm (if you've tried it)? I hate being confined in a mummy bag...

the pod was my luxury item last year and its literally the best buy ever! yes its bigger and heavier but entirely worth it! a lot of my friends complained of being cold in the night last year and i was so warm that at one point i had to open my tent up to cool off - brilliant purchase, worth every penny and the extra bulk to carry

Oh i REALLY want one now. I've read that the normal ones are too short...did you get an XL? I'm only 5'3" but don't want to get cold...

Also, I should probably look at my bank balance before thinking of buying one...

might treat myself to a nice premium bottle of spirits.. namely vodka.. any suggestions?

tbh i make the whole of glasto a luxury compared to any other festival.. i buy more things leading up to it, i spend more on the ticket, and i book more time of work, i spend more at the festival... its worth every penny and preparation too

Wet wipes and those silver survival sheets - amazing for keeping tent cool in the sun, and great to put below sleeping bag if it is cold.
