Anyone else ridiculously excited for The Go! Team. The new record is fantastic and although it doesnt quite amount to the debut record, its great to see a group sticking to a consistently high standard. I just hope they can pull it off live :)

This be great at Glasto Josh,

They have stuck to the formula with this album - and why not... the formula works.

About 3 tracks are just outstanding, the rest is good although I would have like to have see the intrumentals cut down.

To me, it seems that they decided to record a few gems and included them on an album instead of recording a gem of an album.

Still, cant wait to see them.

After seeing The GO! Team in Brighton a few months ago I can assure you that they are absolutely fantastic live. Had the whole crowd going and were very very very loud. I wont be at their West Holts gig but you are going to have an absolutely great time as Ninja definately knows how to work a crowd anywhere.

Rolling Blackouts is my favourite album of this year.

I have some of their 2007 Other Stage performance on DVD and watched it the other evening. I really regret missing them back then.

Won't make the same mistake this time.

The perfect time to play too - Sundown set on West Holts. I still have strong memories of Moloko playing that slot.

Saw The Go! Team play the new album at Heaven a couple of months back. It plays well, live.

I will I will :D So redicously excited for them and I've only just got back into them since seeing them on the line up. I kind of lost track of them after the first album but wow wow. Rolling Blackouts is pretty damn good, I'd even go to see its my fav of theirs.

The one clash I have at the moment is the Go! Team and Eels. It's like a choice between joy and misery. I'm going to have to go with the misery as it's taken me far to long to be able to see Eels and the Go! Team I saw back in 2005 when next to no one even knew of their greatness.

Hopefully the clash finders wrong and I can get to the GT after Eels for some cheering up.

Ahh they were my highlight of 2007. It had pissed down pretty much the whole time. I was tired, cold and pretty miserable but they came on and just lifted everyone and got the field going. Hoping to catch them in slightly better weather this time!

  • 2 weeks later...

Have just had quite a heavy weekend and am listening to the new album now at work and it's like aural prozac! It's impossible to listen to this album and be in a bad mood - definitely perfect for a Sunday afternoon if you're feeling a bit fragile at Glast!
