..... and should have played this year. It seems strange that after their initial impact and the great performance on Jools Holland and the subsequent spot in the Avalon tent in 2009 that after a year off because of the very sad death of their band member and orchestrator Mark Horwood that they are not there or been invited by a stage booker now that they are back playing live again. They toured this April with their new EP " Mink hollow road" check it out on Spotify. I was hoping that i might catch them again on a small stage this year. But it sadly seems not to be, and 2013 seems a long way away. Maybe it was to soon for them to start playing festivals. But it's the festivals lost, they were made to play there.

Saw them in 09 and three weeks ago in London. They were really, really good - on top form.

It's a bit of an issue this. I went to see Emmy the Great last year. Brilliant songs. Brilliant band. Brilliant voice.

But at the back of my mind, there was this voice going "You really fancy her, don't you? She's 10 years younger than you."

Just got to accept that.

"This is Heaven" from the first album " Tell a tale" captured everything about Glasto in 2009 for me, a seminal moment on a small stage. Loving " Call me a Rainbow" and " Cherry Heart" from the new EP.

Come on the Eavis, please add them to the line up....... for me....come on!
