I'm wondering if these forums are suffering from 'Reading syndrome'. ;)

It used to be the case that posters in the Reading foprums used to say how much they were looking forwards to it, then when the announcement was made they said it was shit and that they weren't going. In those cases it was predominantly kids who were never going to go anyway.

To be fair, there's a lot less negativity this year than there has been for ages. I think most people are genuinely pleased but some can't get over their favourite band's not playing if they're playing somewhere else. If you want to guarantee seeing your favourite bands get tickets for their actual gigs! Festivals are more than just a gig in field (well this one is).

Whether the performers are your cup of tea or not a music lover will appreciate talented musicians whatever genre! I just think it soo unfair when ppl are moaning, but in reality they will never cancel their ticket and there are people out there who would love to have a ticket!!

But you think it WOULD be fair if people weren't allowed the freedom of expression? Also, if people (Hitler, say) wanted to moan about Primal Scream and U2 clashing it wouldn't necessarily mean they wanted to throw their ticket in the bin and not go at all.

I was referring to the "Hitler sees the Glastonbury 2011 lineup" youtube video. And yeah, i'm aware that i'm moaning about people moaning about people moaning. But are you moaning about me doing that?

I need to lay down.

EDIT: The Hitler thread i was referring to: /index.php?showtopic=159652">http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=159652

I genuinely see the line-up not being to my individual taste as a total positive. I am soooo excited that there are very few acts I actually feel I HAVE to see...how liberating to be able to trot around and see something I wouldn't usually bother with or haven't come across before. Can't wait!!!

Sod it i'm gonna moan, i'm so unhappy that the lineup is so good that im not gonna have tha much free time to take in the sites! Thanks Mr. Eavis for being so selfish and booking an incredible festival, which nothing comes near to beating, again thanks for being so selfish by making have an option of seeing loads of my favourite bands in a small weekend in the greatest place on earth.

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
