I'm trying not to get my hopes up. But like I say, he's a regular there, and perhaps contractually due to Reading/Leeds they're not allowed a billed performance.Jarivs is very very likely to be there with the BBC, so why not bring the band along?

AND Steve Mackey's stag do was there in 09!

My trail of thought is completely different to all here, surely if all these big acts are playing then a special guest at the park won't be on at the same time, or would be a small act as not many are gonna make the walk up there?

Plus isn't the 'bigger' surprise guest on the Saturday?

some of the names being chucked about on here....Let's try and be realistic people.

Yes last year we got Thom Yorke and Johnny but we will not get REM, Arctic Monkeys, Pulp, Moby, Noel Gallagher or Suede.

Sorry guys don't want to be party pooper, I'd love it but not happening.

Well some of them are very unrealistic. But you can't deny Jarvis's connection to the festival, he is (or was) as pally with the festival as Radiohead. I can imagine perhaps Jarvis and one other band member, perhaps Mackey, doing what Thom and Johnny did last year.

But then again, who's to say we'll get any special guests at the Park? Just because it happened last year and the year before, doesn't make it set in stone.

I don't think Arctic Monkeys is entirely unrealistic prospect on either the Friday or Saturday. They have a gap on their schedule, playing a Luxembourg Festival on the Sunday. The secret slot would also fit in with comments Eavis made about bands having their own big gigs on.

Alex Turner has previous for being a secret guest at the Park with Last Shadow Puppets, and regularly goes to the festival.

Also carrying on the Sheffield vibe, Pulp - didn't Jarvis tweet that how could he get a ticket to Glastonbury i.e. play the festival, and he always camps in the Tipi field behind the Park. I thought it was nailed on, so very surprised to see the denials about it.

I also think Jarvis Cocker will play some part at glasto and that part could def be a special guest slot and if that happens then surely it will be a set by Jarvis and Richard Hawley.

I for one would def love to catch that show. :D

i reckon there's a half chancer that Jarvis & Hawley will turn up on stage with Duane Eddy. :)

    • This basically!, it's about as clear as day they'll be there.
    • Yeah there is no down time, I'm still tired and over thinking from last weeks work. A big reality check this week. If you just do it for the money you always will.

    • Robbie Williams would fit with the current state of the legend’s slot, and he’d bring the house down.
