Really do hope its Pulp! Emily Eavis tweeted that some of the biggest surprises will be in unexpected places though. so Pulp may do a surprise gig but not in The Park Mmmmm

This. I figure it is a bit of a waste having Pulp at the Park. So I don't know why we're all assuming it is definitely going ot be Park where/if they appear. Personally I'm going to keep a close eye on Pyramid/Other falling 'out of schedule' i.e. creating space for an additional band...

Not sure they have. But don't see any reason why not. It would be cool to have a genuine surprise on a big stage instead of a "special super surprise guest at the park", which is normally too small for top bands, and which is the worst held secret in the world by the time they arrive on stage...

They don't have strong links with QOTSA. They have strong links with Josh Homme. It would be very unrealistic but slightly feasible for Josh Homme possibly to appear during an Arctics special guests slot, but I very much doubt it.

Not forgetting that Josh Homme essentially IS QOTSA (in a Axl Rose/GNR sort of situation). And that AM have supported QOTSA in the past.

This to me suggests that we can either expect Daft Punk (we wish!) or much more realistically Justice to make an appearance that night in Shangri La as I cannot think of another French act who would be worthy of the title of Superstar Guest apart from these two. As a result, would a Park special guest slot be on the cards as well. I have no idea as have never caught a special guest at Glasto so make of this what you will people

Hardly GNR esque. This year is the ninth year for Leeuwen and Castillo, and the sixth for Shurman and Fertita. Arctics have also supported other bands.

The link between QOTSA and Arctics is very weak.

It could be argued that he is potentially a headliner I suppose? Surely the festival wouldn't be that blatant though!

I notice that official festival Twitter account has started following Ms. Lauryn Hill - @MsHillMvngTrgt

They do not follow many other twitter accounts and all the other recent followees are in some way connected with the festival.

Lauryn is in Europe in July and has been doing lots of low key and semi-secret, short notice type gigs lately. I believe Emily is on record as being a fan. Easily headline material too.

The thing that scares me most is that if this did happen and I missed it, I'd be, well, more than a little upset for ever.
