Do we think Emily really thinks Stevie has the potential to headline? With the 'Mac, yeah. But not on her own. So is she really gonna be The Park special guest? It just doesn't seem to add up for me, for all of the reasons mentioned before like lack of fee, publicity on the park, etc.

you're making the assumption that she'd play The Park. That might not be the case.

Unfortunately I've been unable to get any handle on current Stevie info, but from the didn't-happen listing efests made of Fleetwood Mac being a TBC a few years back which turned out to be completely wrong (it happens now and then) it seems to be the case that Mac members are up for playing, as they thought they were booked at that time.

My guess is that their management had told them they'd get them Glastonbury but then didn't like what they heard about the fee they'd get, so instead decided to book better paying places instead. But at a guess the fee isn't such an issue with Stevie, perhaps because she has different management to Mac or simply because she's on a much lower level.

So I don't see the fee as necessarily being an issue, and perhaps that's the same with the stage - tho I'd expect to see her on the Pyramid and not another stage. It's quite possible that there's an unannounced guest slot for the Pyramid that she could take, but that's just me speculating.

I have emailed her offical site 3 times asking if she is playing but never got a reply.

her official facebook is a cock-up - it lists her as doing two days at Hard Rock Calling, both the Friday and the Sunday. She's only been announced for the Sunday.

So working from the basis that there's lots of poor info around what she's doing, who knows what the score is with Glasto?

Right, I've had a reply from the person who runs the Stevie Nicks news site.

I can't go into too many details, but she's reasonably confident - tho not 100% - that the info she's published is good. She's had specific info that it's the 25th that Stevie will be playing.

Rather amusingly, the trail of info that ends with her publishing that Stevie is playing starts at eFestivals with mentions here of Stevie perhaps playing.

So she's not playing but people on these boards thought she might!

no, it's not that all.

What I meant with "the info trail starts at efests" is merely that the person who runs that unofficial Stevie site first came across the idea that Stevie might be playing Glastonbury from here.

Her putting on her website that Stevie is playing Glastonbury comes from something far far more substantial than that (nothing that's in the public domain), but even so she has some minor doubts about whether what she's heard is true.

Despite those minor doubts she's gone with it, and by doing so put her and her site's reputation on the line. Because I'm doing similar here all the time with the various rumours we publish, I know that that's something she's unlikely to have done lightly, and comes to mean she believes it's far more likely to be correct than not.

So you're punting for her being fitted into the Pyramid line-up on the Saturday?

I personally can't see her being on any other stage if she's really playing, but perhaps I'm guessing that wrong.

Whether she's playing or not I don't know, tho I leaning most towards to the idea that she will play. Despite being told how/where the Stevie Nicks News fan site got the info that they've used as the basis for publishing that she is playing, because it's not 'my' info (which would have had more checks made than have been done)* it's not something I'm prepared to stake efests' reputation on by marking Stevie as a TBC.

(* that's not meant as any slur on that Stevie Nicks site, it's merely that what I've been told isn't quite enough to reach the standards that efests uses to state that we believe an act is playing).

then today another fansite reports that a Canadian 'superfan' who won a competition to meet Stevie backstage after a gig says that he asked Stevie if she was playing Glasto (as you would if you're a Canadian), and she replied in the affirmative.

Now its all over Twitter, and everyone is quoting the same source
