I know I'm going to get murdered for saying this, but I don't care, because I like them, and feel they get too much stick despite writing good catchy tunes as well as being a very good live band, when there's worse out there...

I hope Viva Brother play.

NME stage on Cure or Kasabian day please.

however does anyone know where mumford and sons are? where they ever likely to play?

Word I've had says that they aren't doing any English festivals this summer .... tho I'm dubious about that, because the full thing I was told doesn't fit with the many festivals they're doing in Europe this summer.

But if they are doing anything in England this summer than it's looking like it can only be at Hop Farm or Bestival now.

It's pretty certain that they were never likely to Reading/Leeds.

Basically, a strong set of headliners, and although I'm not a fan of Florence or Paramore they're big enough to sub. Plus The Black Keys will be good and are the "rising stars" of music. Kaiser Chiefs are always good live too, if not a bit out of place on that day.

The rest of the Main Stage is weak as piss. I thought last year's line-up was pretty weak but there was still some strong bookings further down, like Madness, Deftones, The Offspring and Jimmy Eat World. Here it just seems to be bands who are currently popular. This line-up has shades of 2007 all over it.

Thank God for The Gaslight Anthem! Shame they're not higher. If The Vaccines and Bombay Bicycle Club can both play 3rd surely they deserve higher than 6th?

The Black Keys "rising stars"? They've been round for years.

You've taken out the indie and kept in most of the shite? Would you prefer Download?

Pretty piss poor undercard, hoping for better from nme and FR stages.

Also, where have all the people gone that were shooting down mrtourette for his prediction last night? Seems to have been pretty much spot on to me.

I must admit the announcement last night was always going to be a bit of an anti-climax as to be fair Neil had done an awesome job on finding out the majority of the major acts for us (nice work by the way Neil) :)

For me Paramore were definitely the biggest surprise, never saw that one coming as did probably the majority of people! Whether they prove everyone wrong abit like MCR last year remains to be seen. I know my GF is happy with them playing though as I am sure a few people will be!

As for me, I am trying to look at the line up with how it will read in August time, as some bands will have new albums out, some will be considerably bigger (Black Keys who are going to have a massive year) etc so I am still reserving judgement at the min. For me though the nicest surprise was definitely Bullet for my Valentine-definitely deserve to be higher though!

As for Tenacious D fitting in above the Vaccines, I cant see it myself-just doesnt seem to fit on that day but then again neither does anything else over the entire weekend so maybe it will! I can see some acts being moved around a bit still so I will look forwards to the final poster nearer the actual time of the festival!

Did he actually predict anything tho? I just remember him saying some bands were going to be higher or lower then you'd suspect but I wasn't paying much attention at the time.
