Yeah but then loads of people go and watch them. Same thing happened with Coldplay and Beyonce at Glastonbury last year. These forums aren't necessarily representative of what the masses at a festival will do

They're not bigger than either of those bands. I have no idea where you've got that idea from. I'd get some stats to prove it but you're so far off I think you should. I'd like to see comparison albums sales, singles sales or tour venue sizes that prove you right. Or even a festival bill with Bloc Party above either in the year before they split up

The Strokes are clearly much bigger than Bloc Party.

My Chemical romance are as well but that isn't as obvious since their scene is completely different to Bloc Party's

What other way is there of proving a band is bigger than another band? I think the venue size argument is the most valid, but I'm not sure how else you can do it. It has to be better to try and back up and argument rather than just saying '... are bigger because I said so'

With My Chemical Romance I think the big difference is before their last album they were fucking huge but when they came back the emo scene had died down alot which effected them.

Bloc Party are also playing a festival in Sweden called Borlange which takes place 26-30 june, so it looks like they will be playing a few festivals and should imagine there will be an english festival added.

I'd say Bloc Party are more likely for R&L than V but I wouldn't rule it out, they managed to get far less mainstream acts than Bloc Party.
