I'm seeing Kanye/Jay in May, I don't care that'll never play Reading, it's disappointing though, I'd love the festival to branch out a little bit more, but that's life. Still at least the organisers aren't quite as closed minded as some people on this board appear to be.

Either Jay Z/Kanye West or Linkin Park are my guesses for 3rd headliner, i'm leaning towards Jay Z and Kanye atm because i reckon they might have them on a UK Festival exclusive, if not them then Linkin Park, the only thing that is leaning me away from JZ&K is that they have just announced a tour, but still think they will be the 3rd headliner.

As do I. I hope people are understanding me correctly. I understand theyd be a huge booking, and that theyd sell loads of tickets. But I just think there are bands that more fit the 'R/L mold' that would be huge bookings and sell tickets too without pissing some people off (not saying it would piss everyone off, but there will be a lot of people who go to R/L because it classicly books more 'NME' type bands which they like and have paid for a ticket expecting more of).

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
