I saw them play live 3 weeks ago. I'm entitled to base my opinion of them on that, or have I missed something? Have you seen them play, or what are you using to judge my assessment?

Apart from two okay songs and a certain charisma from the lead singer they were dull and sounded like Kings if Leon.

That's the thing, there wasn't anything to judge your assessment on, which is why it was labled a stupid comment.

You're more than entitled to give your opinion. Although it may have been helpful to back up your initial statement in your original post rather than get your nickers in a twist.

Although I am a fan of twisty nickers.

Carry on...

who's overrating them if the general public hasn't even heard of them. their debut album is still 2 months away. just a strange comment about a band who hasn't even got going yet. if you dislike the kings of leon then it was a daft going to see Mona.

I was at the same gig in Whelans...didn't know anything about the band, had never heard a single song, the guy who booked them recommended I drop by. They were grand, nothing special, and I was certainly surprised to see the place so rammed. Missed the Sleigh Bells gig as I was up at Ben Folds in Vicar street that night, though I asked the staff what they were like and they said Shite!...no pleasing some people! (I quite liked their album though)...I wouldn't call whelans pretentious mind you...it's hardly Krystle!

    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
