I did mention the I'll Be Your Mirror thing a few pages back.

I wouldn't call it a festival......but then I don't know that I'd make a fuss of someone being a "festival exclusive" if they were doing something like that.

I'm still sticking to my "it is PJH, it is PJH, it is PJH, it's not The Decemberists, it's not The Jayhawks, it's not The Polyphonic Spree" mantra......so as to manage my expectations!

I really don't get the overwhelming sense of disappointment the Latitude attendees seem to be expressing. That looks like a pretty stellar bill to me. Lots of stuff I would see and would welcome at EOTR. If they don't want The National, Suede, MMJ, Bright Eyes, Deerhunter, BSP etc. I'll gladly take them.

I'm so over Blind Pilot, I had Three Rounds and a Sound in 2009 and really liked it, so was excited when they were doing live dates, finally.

Saw them as a support for Surfer Blood and was hugely disappointed, they're still doing the songs off that album with only two new songs as new material. What a let down, I've spent nearly three years listening to that album and they hardly had anything new.

So today's the day, my little chums. Frankly, I have lost all sense of where I am with this now! I am fairly certain that the third headliner is going to be no-one I had thought of. I will be unfamiliar with them other than a passing knowledge, and will then explore their catalogue, falling madly in love with them to the point that my entire EoTR experience will be based around my excitement finally to see my new-favourite-new-band live!

Or it could be Grinderman.

Would love Polly, but ATP's a festival. Other hope is Throwing Muses as I know they have a late summer festival booked for somewhere, though technically EotR is Autumn I guess (!)

MORNING EVERYONE!!

:) Thanks Ben, I hadn't noticed! You will be catching me up soon. I think I'm with Shoeboex on the fact that it could be someone we have not even considered, however Ryan Adams (thanks Cortezuk) is a possibility as without him we would not be here. The first EOTR had hardly sold any tickets until Simon & Sophia managed to scoop RA and the rest they say is history.....

    • We’ve a friend  who has hens and sells eggs for two quid for six. So much tastier than supermarket ones. She has an honesty box outside her house and has now expanded into selling them to hotels and the local butchers shop. Quite a decent wee business
    • Curiously a rumour has turned up that Barcelona are now interested in Rodri. So could make Real Madrid and Man City are suddenly both in need of a central midfielder.    ... Assuming this move to Arsenal for Bruno Guimaraes ends up being processed before those two may need to enter the conversation.
    • I think Thunderbolts probably had one of the more interesting villains for an MCU movie. I was actually a bit creeped out by Void. I'm a massive horror movie fan, and I can't think of another time in the last couple of years where a character legit scared me like he did.    Brand New Day was a good time. A great villain choice as it played into Parker's insecurities. Castle was a strange inclusion but the dynamic between him and Parker was great. Castle must have been delighted to have someone who never seen themselves as superior to him like Murdoch pretty much always did.
    • Certainly the fact Bruce had disasters at West Brom and Blackpool has hurt his chances. Maybe he'll go mentor his son now he's a manager at Rotherham.    Maybe the passive aggressive comment about Howe being "that fella who got Bournemouth relegated" also counts as it's own comment that aged very poorly.
    • When I was in the cinema to watch The Odyssey a few weeks ago, I saw a trailer for a film called One Night Only. Premise is a rom-com but with a backdrop that it's the one night of the year where non-marital sex is legal.   Some of the background mechanics as to how this works as per the reviews seem creepy and like something a lot of people wouldn't just accept and go with. How you marry that to a rom-com narrative is bizarre.
