Compared to other announcements this ones sort of okay - 3 bands I care for, All that Remains, Asking Alexandria and Devil Wears Prada. Frank Turner clashes with Linkin Park so can't see him unfortunately.

Still poor overall though and I'm really hoping they start to fill the lower stages with decent bands soon, albeit I'm guessing there's still a few decent slots. It still sickens me how Download pull **** like Ghost from absolutely nowhere. Absolutely absymal band, Download seem to book anyone who slightly resembles as a 'joke' band.

I think there's enough to make me keep my ticket, but not enough to stop me from wondering about next year.

I dunno, maybe Im just getting too old. I've been to so many festivals over so many years, I don't expect the bill to be filled with bands I love but haven't seen yet, not anymore. If I think about it objectively it's OK but I just don't have that excited feeling about it all this year. :(

Maybe when the weather picks up. :¬/

Yawn.

This sucks. But i guess it means next year will hopefully be amazing.

I really don't wanna go to Sonisphere as ive been nefore and the atmosphere is not that great, but the bands this year just piss all over the 'Maverick's' bookings.

    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
    • All I'm asking for is Rancid
    • MGK would probably end my interest in this festival completely.
    • The basement, deafheaven, Mannequin pussy clash is v annoying. Also not sure why pinkpantheress is in the tent, surely going to be ramos.
    • It's just this:   Search up which orgs are currently in Tufton St, funded by Koch Brothers, Robert Mercer, and Matthew Elliot.   It's moved on from "Vote Leave" and "Leave Means Leave" into the lobbyists against net zero. It's the same funding from the same people in the same place lobbying our media and politicians.
