to be honest, i think you should just get a life, i never said, THIS IS THE CONFIRMED LINEUP! i simply was telling you what i was told, i know as much as you do at this point but all i was doing was passing on info (rumours) which i have found out, whether that info is correct or not i have no f**king clue, but i was just trying to help. Stop being such a winey little baby about it.

Elbow 4th top? They're subbing U2 at Glastonbury they'd easily be 2nd top and certainly higher than The Streets.

What I want to know is why no other forum is full of this shite? Yeah you do get a few random guesses and some with inside info but you certainly don't get as many fannys coming on saying they know the line up or having really shit guesses at it. It's just getting f**king stupid now and incredibly boring. If there is any decent info coming in eFest will be on it and will confirm it untill then could you just f**k off with your tedious bollocks? Please?

I'm a relative newbie to this forum & have enjoyed posting on here as people seem to actually read what you say & often quote, counter argue, discuss & confirm what you have to say both quickly & with manners. I understand that everyone has their own opinion, especially when it comes to acts playing at R+L as it has changed in music "policy" & bookings very quickly since I first went in 2005... & this obviously causes disputes between the change of people who have been, want to go & still go. & as people get older, so does their taste in music... or not!

I have to admit reading this thread tonight has kind of put me off posting on this site as people are getting far too aggy over simple things.

People wouldn't be posting on here if they didn't feel some affinity for R+L. Lets all be in this together & get along. Love, not riots on this forum please :)

I love Reading, even after I've been to Glasto & Bestival. It's one of the best festivals for it's location, music, weather, time of year & attendees. I'd go even if the line up was pants as I'd still have a banging good time if my mates were there too. F**k I'd even go if McFly were headlining (beacuase then I'd be able to get a cheap ticket off eBay).

Without going off on too much of a tangent I would love to see Enter Shikari, Muse, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Wombats, Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, Friendly Fires & Bloc Party, whether they are at R+L or not. Although oddly I don't fancy any of the bands from the initial post that I haven't seen before. But that's just my music taste right now.

Lets have a good one this 2011 & hope MCR don't play!

Just bumped into Melvin Benn in Lidl and he assured me that the headliners are 'staggering' because there aren't any headliners at all!

Keep it under your collective hat.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
