Maybe the issue of crowd control could be used again, cause like someone else on here said, Elbow will draw a far smaller crowd than Arcade Fire so having them subbing U2 reduces the chances of it being a very large static crowd for 4 hours

I think (unfortunately) that if they do a UK festival it'll be V due to them being in the UK at the time for the Edinburgh/Manchester shows. Although they don't really seem to fit in with that sort of thing but then, they're not British festival snobs so they probably don't cae so much about which ones they do.

Actually bet Reading & Leeds are probably annoyed, they made the booking a year too early for me. Its only now Arcade Fire have this massive hurrah about them.

And yes I don't think Elbow into U2 will be quite the same as Arcade Fire into U2. Nice, but not as brilliant as Arcade Fire.

Even if they don't play I'm seeing them at the MEN in August so its all good.

With REM now looking very unlikely that could make room for AF.

Although id love AF to play, with the other names been thrown about it wouldnt be the end of the world if they didnt.

Not a massive fan of elbow but a strong booking. Future headliners deffo. Saw them at T and they were excellent.

So hang on...

Arcade Fire are downgraded to 'Rumour'...

Elbow are now meant to be subbing U2...

They can't play Sat/Sun due to other commitments...

Other Stage Headliners are pretty certain to be Primals, Chems, Libs.

So is it looking a forlorn hope that I might see my beloved Arcade Fire at Glastonbury?
