The interviewer asks her if the headliners are U2, Coldplay and Prince.

Emily said that the interviewer was 'not right'. take from that what you will

I'd take from that that Prince is not on the bill.

Can I be smug about it when he's not? I've said all along that I personally doubt he's playing. :P

here is how the interview went:

Q: We heard Prince, Coldplay and U2 are headliners. Is that right?

A: I can't say how many you'd get right. But no, unfortunately you're not right

Q: Not completely right?

A: No, your're not right

Sounds like she's saying he's completely wrong on all the headliners... Though that is just my reading!

What are your current thoughts Neil? I'm thinking U2, Coldplay and the Rolling Stones or Pulp.

I was about to post saying that I don't think it's the Stones. But having just read Emily's tweet that the 3rd headliner is now a done deal - only now - I'm thinking it might be the Stones again.

Pulp have always been a possibility. They've had a lot of reforms as headliner in recent years, and Pulp surely rate higher than The Verve.

But someone posted the other day - saying they had sources - that Bouncy is one of the headliners. That might be right, who knows.

And it might be someone else.

But if you go along with the idea that Coldplay were going to headline if the Stones weren't, then maybe one or the other has finally been decided and that's why they've only just been confirmed. Which leaves the other spot free. God I hope it's not Beyonce.

if the third headliner has only just been confirmed, that means when she gave the interview they weren't. meaning we could have another stevie wonder situation and all 3 might be right. so really we're no further forward!

Putting 2 and 2 together and getting 567, one possible scenario is that U2 and Coldplay were already sorted but that the Stones have only just confirmed following their Dec/Jan get-togethers (if they ever happened)...

I'd have though if there was any chance of The Stones-or Beyonce for that matter-playing we'll hear something very soon about a full tour. They don't seem the type of act to do Glastonbury as a one-off

I've heard some stuff about a Beyonce tour that's supposedly coming to the UK in June/July - tho I can't guarantee that what I've heard is accurate (tho it probably is).

And Keef Richards has said several times that their tour is meant to start is June.

But who knows really? Either of those could be wrong.

None of those acts are American?

eFestivals has been given the impression that the American act that the Eavii have talked about isn't actually headlining - but that's something quite a few months old now, and it's not impossible that the act they were on about has been upped to headliner since then.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
