I think they'll be around this year, but I'm not sure if they'll do R&L as they could be a bit too leftfield for R&L. I don't think R&L has ever had a dance headliner has it?

I'd say due to the amount they'd charge, and health and safety, they could only headline. NME would be massively, dangerously full (and wouldn't get the full show anyway), and I doubt they'll spend as much as DP are rumoured to cost, for anything other than a headliner.

Ive heard at numerous times over the last two months they'll be at V in 2011.

Probably headlining second stage, as its as big as main stage, for those who've never been to V, you could get a 40,000 crowd there easily.

Can't see them playing the tent although V's tent is pretty massive too and when you look at who've headlined it in recent years its quite possible - Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Pet Shop Boys, Kylie theres also been big subs in Iggy and The Stooges, Lady Gaga, Robert Plant.

But I think they'd headline second stage. Of course Wireless could still happen too.

There's absolutely no chance Daft Punk could play in the tent. They're far too big, and have been away from the UK for too long to do anything but headline, or at a push sub-headline the main stage.

I'm fairly sure they won't be at R/L, but I'm not really sure why Mean Fiddler aren't making more of an effort to get them. Admittedly their style of music isn't the sort that usually features as mainstage headliner, but they've got so many fans, crossing over different genres and ages. In fact, I'd go as far as to say they're probably about as close to an unanimously popular headliner as R/L could book.

They may have a lot of fans, but are the majority of those the kind of people that go to R&L? They may crossover to some extent but are the people who really love them going to be there in enough numbers to hold down a main stage headline appearance? We're talking about spending £180 on a ticket and hanging around all day to watch them, not liking them when you hear them in a club or on the radio.

While their own gigs and record sales may be the same size as those who do headline I just can't see it happening. Maybe they'd put on a good show and it's be something genuinely interesting to see if it works, but I don't think it's realistic.
