hmmm, well I saw them at global gathering which i imagine was able to pay them a huge amount. However this was in 2006 so a fallow year for Glasto!

Did they play any UK festivals in 2007 during the main bit of the alive tour? didn't they play at Rockness or something?

I'm sure they would realise that Glasto is the one to do and would they really need all that money? (possibly some wishful thinking going on here!)

really? did you see them when they had the massive pyramid set up? everyone i know who saw them on that tour agrees that it was the best thing ever.

I agree that everything theyve recorded for quite a while has been a bit crap but they've got enough classics to pull it off and their light show would be astounding

Are they not too big to play the Other Stage? I could see them getting headliner slots at IOW or T or V. Or am I overestimating their popularity because I'm a fan and a lot of people on this board go on about them? When I saw them at Pukkelpop in Belgium in 06 they were headlining the Saturday with Radiohead on the Thursday so they get top billing.
