I loved it at this place. Loads of fancy whisky bottles to look at and jazz music to chill out on the grass too. Really hope the weather is nice again next year B)

how big was it last year?

Not huge.

When I said 'bigger' I didn't necessarily mean a physically bigger tent (it might be tho, I have no idea).

I was meaning with the acts that it offers - what we've heard has suggested that it'll perhaps have a greater number of familiar names.

If there was one thing I did appreciate about how times are a changing at the G, its the new shiny bars all over the site. Whilst they might seem a little OTT on the slightly corporate lean of things, they are all stunning and large and coped very well with the numbers of people on site (not so sure about the bouncers though! :( ). Theming each one with particular alcoholic beverages is inspired.

I didnt go into Bourbon St myself (mainly because I chose not to mooch around that part of town except when passing through) but it did look good.

Saw quite a few acts in Bourbon Street this year. GRRRREAT venue! Highlights were a young band from Southampton who all looked about 11, plus a mad Scot playing thrash blues. The Mint Juleps were most excellent too. Nice chilled venue, good humoured, chatty crowd, and a bit of a boogie. What more do you want? Beat the Pyramid Stage hands down. Even better, if it p*sses it down next year, it's in a tent. Hope they don't try to change something that ain't broke tho.....

Great place - I watched Ansley Lister at 1.30am ish worth the wait;Great guitarist..

They did advertise a gospel gig sort of thing for sunday but it didn't materialise

If your wondering where it its - Its the old jazz lounge - A tent basically with bar one end stage other; Not far from info point south from queens head/old leftfield site If I remember rightly

We saw Charlene Soraia in there, I'd never heard of her before but we happend to wander past and the person I was with is a fan so recognised the voice and we went in. She was really good and its a nice stage but it was dead when we were in so I'd like to go back when it was a bit busier.

its going to be in a bigger tent next year and for the next few too

hopefully with more well known artists, and definately some more speciality bourbons

entertaiment not education is the philosophy (dangerous word i know) which is surely a great way of approaching things

    • Was volunteering at the Women’s Cricket World Cup at Southampton yesterday. Was great fun.
    • Definitely see this as being 'weak' on paper but could see a few bumps up from previous sets at Download (Don Broco, Neck Deep etc).
    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
