Anyone else feel like that their life is taking a back seat now to managing to get Glastonbury tickets? haha.

Last night I had an offer of the cinema, but turned it down incase I missed a sneaky resale. After the queue page loading earlier todaty I'm too scared to go and make lunch incase I miss something. I will probably muster up the courage to go shortly, but will leave my bank card lying on my keyboard and take the blackberry with me incase I recieve an email. alerting me of something

I hope for my health and general life I get one soon. Anyone similar?

Have faith people. Think positively and we ALL get tickets. Heck, it worked in guaranteeing the fine weather last year.

Think of the joy when we get tickets. Those lesser mortals who got them the easy way last Sunday will only be able to look on enviously at the bond of camaraderie and friendship that has developed between us brave band of ticket seekers.

You can put me in the "gutted-and-kind-of-took-it-for-granted" camp. It was tight in 2007, IIRC we got tickets within 10mins of the sell out time. A sneaky weekday resale probably isn't going to help those of us out on a building site without a 3G phone though. But you never know.

This is my first posting on here but have been a member and got loads of useful tips over the past few years. However I was totally gutted that I couldn't get tickets on Sunday, despite spending over four hours trying! I only wanted two tickets but unfortunately I was trying on my own, with my friend constantly on the phone.

I've been to 3 out of the last 4 festivals, and just felt so devastated at the thought of not being able to go next year - I do appreciate I've been lucky to have that opportunity though, and I know there's not enough tickets to go round for everybody who wants one. If there's a way I can get any, through whatever resale opportunities may arise, of course I'll give it a go.

Just spotted some threads about email groups, so have joined up to these, and will keep everything crossed in anticipation!!!

It's just hit me that this will definitely be the last year that I can absolutely guarantee getting the time off from work for Glasto. They are getting all Nazi about leave, the amount of it, and reducing flexibility like you wouldn't believe. That's presuming I'm still there in 2013. Nothing like a happy workforce for productivity eh?

I feel your pain.

I missed out on tickets last year and was constantly refreshing the see website for months, and had it set as all of my start pages. I missed out on the unannounced sales by just a few minutes.

I was ready on the re-sale day in spring and got my ticket at 9am on the dot.

Stay positive and don't let it take over your life! There will be lots of people who have just taken a gamble on tickets (for the sake of £10) and will not pay the full ticket price!

+1

One thing that I've got from this is that I will never EVER take being at Glastonbury for granted again. I'd got so used to be able to get my tickets every year no problem - by ten past nine the last few years had been all done and dusted.

.....

I got a feeling that if we are successful in the next few days/weeks/months, then G2011 is going to be just that little bit more sweeter for all of us.

Been lucky every year since 2002 but this year 3 of us missed out

The positive attitude on e festivals is really inspiring

If can't get them in an unnannounced resale will aim for April - Someone I know got them last year so not impossible - must be at least 10000 tickets surrendered for all sorts of good and bad reasons

At present the 4 1/2 hour sunday scramble is looking like turning into a 6 month slog

But I'm sure life will intervene shortly and give me a slap round the head

***Disclaimer- I am in no way saying this is true in anyway as i have no way of knowing how acurate this is****

I dont know if this is right or wrong but it gave my hope databank a extra lift.

Yesterday i was randomly reading through the facebook war that is going on & one of the comments jumped out at me.

It said "I have just had a contact from See tickets warning me that they they reserve the right to cancel ticket orders that exceeded the 8 ticket maximum order on any card that was placed on sunday 1st October 2010 "

The woman who posted this admitted she had made three seperate orders for 8x tickets & was paniking that she was about to loose the whole 24x Tickets placed.

I felt bad for her initially but also thought people may be interested to know.

Not having tickets has not really sunk in yet. If I allow the realisation to dawn I might have to cry a bit.

Have added the app mentioned earlier. Fingers crossed.

Him indoors is all breezy and positive "don't worry we will get them in the resale"

Thing is I am a pessimist and can't allow myself to believe that.

4 flipping hours, two laptops, an itouch, a blackberry and the landline and the ONLY sniff of an actual queueing page was on my blackberry (oddly enough....virginmedia issues with all of the other options perhaps?). Then it timed out twice.

I feel a bit sick about it all TBH it doesn't help all our mates know how much this means to me and having to say we didn't get tickets whilst they laugh behind their hands is just about enough.

Sorry for the whinge. Shall try to be positive.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
