We haven't had a single drop of rain so far today in Glastonbury Town and I can see blue sky through the clouds. Pretty windy though, so anything could happen this afternoon. But so far so good. Whatever happens later it isn't going to be as bad as feared :)

"The outlook for next week remains unsettled with a mix of sunshine and showers unfortunately," said Sarah Holland, a fellow Met Office forecaster.

Holland said average temperatures will be around 18C in Somerset, feeling colder in wind and showers, but offered festival goers a glimmer of hope: "The south-west looks to have the best of the weather of the UK with a better chance of sunny spells."

You'll be please to learn that The Angwin has in fact not retired and is still gracing our screens, all be it on Al Jazeera, based in Qatar! That really has got to be a step down for a the man, it's a desert, who needs a weather man out there?

Just checked the Radar and we in the south are going to try and suck the rain closer to us along the coast to try and spare the site to much this afternoon...

As a result we now have a weather advisor, which is a good news for Glastonbury and a bad thing for my wife who will get wet as a result...

yahoo say ....Looking at next weekend’s weather, Glastonbury festival goers can breathe a sigh of relief as a ridge of high pressure will bring temperatures back up into the low 20s and drier conditions through Saturday and Sunday.

    • I did get a little amusement at the idea that Infantino was upset Trump stood him up for the US opener last night given how hard he's been trying to get in his good books.   Tbf, I thought the Canadian roar at their equaliser was decent volume. Or maybe I just had my phone at a higher volume for it when I watched the highlights this morning.
    • Wonder if they’d ever headline Glasto again.  Would be very different a 2nd time around I reckon.
    • My mate is there now. She enjoyed them a lot but had never seen them before. Apparently there was an injury in the crowd near the end so took about 10 or so minutes to sort out. Hope the person is alright.    Feeder apparently drew a ridiculously huge crowd on the third stage.
    • This was never a surprise.   I'm hoping USA meet and lose to Iran in round of 16, just to really wind up Trump.
    • Watched this this morning -  absolute brilliance -  live show is peaking
