lol @ people at work for moaning about wagner. how he's taking the place of a more talented singer. yeah cos i'm sure the show would be much better if that guy with the mohawk and weird ears or the fat dutch woman got through.

apparently in the first week, he got the second most votes, behind one direction. (a wee tip if you want to get money on if odds are good just now)

Except Burke, Lewis, JLS, Vickers, Jedward in just the last couple of years. Didnt Olly Murs have a hit sinlge of late too and Joe Eldery is currently in the charts

The likes of Same Difference etc, play Butlins and the like too, so even if not massively successful, many do earn serious cash from it, if perhaps only for a short term

darius was on that pop star to opera star the other year. he must still be there or there abouts. suzanne from pop idol 2 (my favourite that year) is now a dj on bbc local.

and rick waller still gets name checked on celebrity two word tango :P

rhydian as well. sara on here was at something the other month that he was performing at.

They release the voting figures at the end of the series. And IIRC the act leading at the start has never gone on to win it. The last 2 years its been Eoghin and Daniel who have led the voting in the first few weeks.

Just can't One Direction winning. If they do, it would be a travesty.

Hmm, maybe John Adaleye. Although I can't see the public voting for a black man in his 30's unfortunately, tho Andy Abrahams got to the final (another one who has made money out the x factor). I think TreyC is a bloody good singer as well. Its early days. Leona Lewis wasnt even a shoe-in to win from the first few weeks of her series.

There are groups with wee boys every single year on the X Factor and none of them get anywhere near winning - Eton Park, for example.

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
    • I was having a tired day, my apologies 😂
    • I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀
    • Slightly unexpected, but Shambala is discounted on TfG.   Works out at about £215 after discount which is about a third off.
