Regrets

Anyone else miss something or not do something they wish they had ?

Dont get me wrong I had an absolute ball but I only made to the late night areas at night once - early on - and was so knackered I left before the full weirdness of it all kicked in.

Wishing I had the stamina to have stayed or forethought to have gone back to the tent and had a kip and gone back out !!

Maybe next year !

It's not that I think it shouldn't be on because there were alot of people there and I know there are some that would still find it unmissable - but I will never again miss part of the festival for the football!

If they win there'll be at least one more game after I get home, if they lose I don't want that downer as part of my Glastonbury!

Further to that - after sending my old mum off to the Circus fields for the afternoon whilst we did that - why oh why did i make her walk all the way back to Dairy Ground to meet us after the match? I could've left her down in Avalon watching Keane, Judy Collins and Imelda May and met her at jazz world in plenty of time for Toots! I just didn't trust her to find a meeting point - but my insistence on seeing the football, and on her treking back to meet us, took a huge chunk out of her festival too! I'm an idiot!

I regret not staying up all night to watch the sunrise at the stone circle on Monday morning. Plus not bimbling more

People I was with were tired and bored (!!!) and hence followed them back, when I should have let them go back and bimbled by myself

Lesson learned

I regret breaking my self by Saturday evening so missing lots of people I wanted to see. And I regret not seeing people whom I liked but couldn't be bothered to see. And I regret still not finding the rabbit hole!

regrets - watching gorillaz, only catching the last half of empire of the sun, only managing the stone circle til 4.30am as I was ill prepared for how bloody cold the nights got and had to go tentwards as I was freeeeeeezing.

Everything else was just gravy :D

despite being ill for most of the 5 days and the preceding 2 weeks am gutted I did not do the following

goto strummerville

instead of looking in the rabbit hole at the bloke guarding the "secret" door should have gone in, he clocked me looking aswell

should of been brave at the arcadia back stage bar - bad idea and tried to go in

missed out doing London Underground area and going into the tardis in shangri-la

I always every year say we will go and do more in Shangria_La etc then always end up just walking through it going wow lol and nothing else......

Overdoing it from Wednesday lunchtime in the sunshine, continuing through the night ... and again in the sunshine the following day until I had to lay down in some shade in the Green Fields at .... 5pm, then waking up shivering during the night. Lesson learnt though, filled up my water bottle at every opportunity after that and didn't have a beer until after sunset if at all for the rest of the festival.

Opting for Levellers instead of Stevie. They were pretty mediocre to be honest after not seeing them for a few Years was looking forward to it but was a little underwhelmed not helped by everyone and his dog raving on about how good Stevie was.
