A big difference, all points matter at this stage, especially when you've got to play both your nearest rivals, the league was won by 1 point last year

It's still one of those days no matter what team it is, when you have goals at the start of the season, Utd winning the league, west ham to stay up, it's still a bad day when you drop points, obviously west ham have had more of them days... I'm not denying that

But when you dominate a team but look like dropping points, I think it's fair to say " looks like it's one of them days" no matter what team you are, and hopefully not get over analysed for saying it

I was taking the piss, not analysing. It's hard to have any sympathy for Man Utd fans, given the amount of fortune they have.

It's like saying that Donald Trump almost had one of those days.

Wouldn't want any sympathy anyway, just saying how it was on match day....

Can't really see the Donald trump comparison, Utd do actually have off days as I explained before, you really can't see how they can have one of those days??

is it though? they're consistently the bridesmaids. even in a season where man utd and chelsea have been well below par.

there's something quite not right at arsenal, and it's not the players for me. player for player, are they worse than man utd? you'd struggle to convince me.

You can hardly have had many of those days if you've won the title x amount of times. One of those days for Man Utd fans is winning.

Ok quick one off the top of my head, west ham away, last day of the season, need a win to win the league, battered them but couldn't score the winner so drew and lost the league, ONE OF THEM DAYS

there's been plenty others, one of them days isn't exclusive to shit teams... Get it? Probably not, wasting my time really

My 'can only have been a handful of time' comment was tongue in cheek. I understand you can have them, but you have had less over the last 20 years than others.

I think sacking wenger would be a mistake. I think football fans have a short memory. In their history arsenal have not been a team consistently finishing top 4 year after year, if the stats I read are correct in the 10 years before wenger they missed out on top 4, 4 times and just scraped 4th place on a couple of occasions. To regularly finish 2nd or 3rd is a success relative to their history. Arsenal can survive without winning the league but will struggle if they miss out on 4th place and they are only one bad appointment from doing that.

Why are you trying to explain this banal crap to me? You get more than your fair share of luck and fortune. You don't have 'one of those days', you have what everyone else has on a regular basis. It's called normality.

I told you twice: I was taking the piss and am totally unsympathetic to Man Utd's hard luck stories. What part can't you understand?

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
