Obinna's first was lucky in that the goalkeeping was awful. Not sure why either of the other WHU goals were lucky?

Rob Green's f**k up was unlucky IMO - ball took a massive bobble - unsurprising considering the poor (comparitively) state of the pitch.

I agree we weren't brilliant - unsurprising really, the league table is a clue! - and Blackpool were poor. Maybe a result of a poor performance from Adam? Other than the effort from the short pie eater, Green wasn't troubled all night. Thought Blackpool huffed and puffed second half with little creativity and WHU were the much more likely team to score on the break - Piquionne's solo effort being a prime example - bar a last ditch tackle it'd been one of the goals of the season.

Was surprised btw to see the new stands still a long way from being ready.

Thought the atmosphere was decent despite the annoying drum.

exactly. what makes england so special?

it's not 'special', but it is different. The Prem is played at a faster pace than other leagues, and goal scorers who have success in other leagues don't tend to have similar success in the Prem if they're lacking in pace, while the pacier players are able to maintain their scoring at a similar level.

and who cares that suarez hadn't trained? kenny deuchar signed for us before noon and then completed his hat trick at about 20 past 9 that same day! :P

Unless you're of the opinion that training doesn't improve how a player plays, then it does make a difference if a player hasn't trained with his team mates.

All 3 goals from set pieces, 2 of which offside, 1 of which involving a further foul. Having said that and from a SAFC perspective, what the f**k was bean head doing playing Mensah? Never play Mensah unless there is no one else. Play the third choice keeper before you play Mensah in a defensive position.

Massive pressure now as we have Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City to look forward to in the upcoming games.

Totally different game now at Newcastle, they are all over arsenal and just had a good goal ruled out for offside, the way the match is going I wouldn't put it past them to pull it back

    • Yeah, that was always a possibility.   We're obviously obsessed with Glastonbury and so assumptions are made when something like that is said. It's unlikely Madonna feels quite as strongly about the festival and so her being excited about something big in the UK next year (or however she phrased it) should really be taken as carrying a lot more possibilities.
    • MGK to headline anyone?
    • Fantastic news.  Not got our settlement car park pass yet, but this gives me hope that it will arrive soon
    • I think they mentioned it in one and interview that the concept of Passport is one thing that differentiates the Sziget from other festival and encourages to explore the site outside music stuff. I doubt they will get rid of it, they might just be late, like they are with everything else.
