I'm not banging on about it, I'm simply standing behind the few words of comment I wished to make. Everything else is people like Nal trying to defend the indefensible, while I've stood behind what the likes of Nal has essentially agreed with.

If Nal and others had simply accepted that Utd have no shame (as proven by berba's own words) for what he's said himself was a dive, it would have been over here before 11am yesterday.

I agree with that 100%, my only issue is your refusal to admit that any other team is as bad.

They could be the worst, if indeed it could be measured, it can't though, as we have both discussed over the last couple of posts and in my (seemingly less biased view point although admitedly not perhaps aginst Liverpool!) you can't say for sure that they are any worse than Arsenal or Chelsea, other than in your own opinion.

Well, we each have our eyes, and my eyes - and not only my eyes! - say I've called it right. I don't see other teams using diving as a default tactic to win any game.

Of course, the only defence that Utd fans - and you - ever offer to the claims that come from all directions (not just mine) is that the world hates Utd and that's the only reason they ever get any criticism no matter how valid it might be within the facts. That's as weak as any defence ever gets.

Now I've brought your attention to it, just look from now on. Notice that a card is just about the default for hacking a player down that's on the break, and then notice that when Utd players do it they get proportionally far fewer cards.

As I've said, they're actually very skilled at it - which in it's own way is a compliment. They have a dicipline over doing it that other players can't match.

And it you want to put yours into context, perhaps you should also mention all the times Liverpool have dived in order to win matches and points

To arbitrate the law one has to affirm it regardless of contention. If someone or something else other than the law can influence you in the decision-making process then you aren't an arbiter.

Arbiter: One chosen or appointed to decide disputable issues.

Law: A rule of conduct or procedure established by custom, agreement, or authority.

Therefore, an arbiter of a specific law must decide disputable issues on the basis of the law. My point was that trying to gain sway over the referee's descision-making is cheating (gaining favour by exploiting the application of the law).

I feel like a solicitor now.

I dunno about that Neil, the invincible Barca sides of the last few years have been tested/beaten by “worse” sides. Everyone is capable of losing on their day. Inter kept Messi very quiet last season and beat Barca over two legs, with an inferior team. Arsenal are playing some good stuff now, much better than the hammering they took (last season was it?).

And they have lost in the league this season too.
