Its not my strongest accumulator of late, the last two have been beauts. I like staying away from mid-table English teams if it can be helped. European giants away from home are the best.

For a bet, I'd suggest Liszt in the 14.00 at Beverley. Dropped down all sorts of class, its about 7/4 I think.

Bayern are a much better side than Hoffenheim. It'll show over the course of the season. Just they've had a slow start but they've gotta kickstart their season somewhere why not a big game against a side that every club in Germany hates?

As I type this the game is a little over 10 minutes old and Hoffenheim went 1-0 up in the very first minute. Fantastic start haha. Plenty of time for Bayern to wake up and turn it around though.

Arsenal have named a relatively strong side compared to previous seasons at this stage.

Cos some of us have a clue about what we're doing!

Champions League teams away in their respective leagues (outside England - familiarity is not necessarily a good thing) - the Real Madrids, Barcelona, Inters, ACs, Savilla (sometimes), Ajax, Bayerns etc of this world will usually give you a couple of odds approaching evens (10/11, 6/5, 5/6 etc) where they've got very good chances of winning kick up the overall odds of a five/six-fold accumulator nicely to 10 or 12/1 or maybe more if its combined with bankers.

Roma away to Brescia (13/10) is an interesting one tomorrow night for any accumulator (not a banker but one that an accy could hinge on). Combine that with Man City away, Inter, Man United and Liverpool and its 9.25/1. Its just all so simple.

Obviously neither side was close to full strength yesterday, but we played Spurs off the pitch for most of the game. Another superb performance from Wilshere. In some ways the most impressive thing was that he didn't let himself get provoked by the Spurs hatchet men. He must have been fouled at least 10 times last night but at no point did he look like losing his rag, very promising indeed. On current form he's a must for the next full england squad. Only real negative from last night was that Gibbs broke a mettatarsal - shame as he had a cracking game.

Edited to add: Just how much of a greasy rat faced twat is David Bentley?

    • Id suggest we would need another new album before they play again - Otherwise the show is going to probably be very similar to the one they played at the last festival.
    • Absolutely not, I dont know of it selling out but they needed TFG and Skyvip to shift them. Biffy aren't either and they didn't go to TFG and I wouldn't say Kasabian are either and they sold it out the quickest. Liam Gallagher did Finsbury Park as well and subbed the Pyramid Stage, Noah Kahan did two nights at BST and subbed the Pyramid though that's a rare one. Finsbury itself will definitely not grant you top spot, that field can hold 100k      That's fair. I'm definitely in the camp myself that Fender and Harry are most likely.

    • I don't think he will announce restarting north sea drilling.    He'll hint at it instead and kick it down the road.   And the plan isn't for new licenses anyway.
    • LCD Soundsystem seem perfect for the outdoor circuit. I could definitely see them doing that.
