If you're a Lips fan

I'd nailed on The Lips for Friday night but I guess there are a couple of bands I'd miss them for. Some are obviously not very likely.

Rolling Stone - I'll never pay what they want for a ticket so it'd be my only chance to see them.

Led Zep - The only chance any of us will probably have to see them.

Radiohead would be a tough one, but the Lips would probably win.

Darf Punk is probably too close to call. Them doing a set on the Pyramid with their pyramid stage setup would be awesome.

Paul McCartney. Nah.

Any others?

Erm... personally I'd miss the lips to take a visit to the longdrops, but the only headliners that I dould miss just about anybody for would be DJ Shadow, The Stone Roses (which would take a bit of work) or Nirvana (which would take a lot of work).

Am just praying that whoever they put in U2's place isn't someone that I'd really want to see - have only just about made all my clash decisions....please don't give me another one! :P

Depends really, at the moment Flaming Lips on the other stage is my preferred place, but knowing that I'll see them at Bestival later this year, means that in the case of a clash they could well come out the loser.

I understand the antipathy to Paul "thumbs aloft" McCartney, but if you've any affection for The Beatles, you'd soon warm to him. OTOH when he showed up on X Factor recently, the years since his last Glasto appearance had not been kind to his voice.

The other problem is that it'd clash with the Bootleg Beatles, which surely wouldn't be ideal.

It would have to be someone legendary like Stones, Led Zep, Pink Floyd or Bowie

I'd be torn if it was Sigur Ros or Jamiroquai.

I'm dreading it being somone I want to see, so am keeping fingers crossed for it to be Radiohead, Coldplay or some other whiny indie effort.

I've been set on the Lips since the line-up announcement, so it's only the very unlikely ones that would change my mind.

Prince, Led Zep, the Stones, Bowie, Pulp, REM - none of which will happen.

Out of the ones that are possible IMHO: -

Macca - I'd see Macca

Coldplay - I'd see FLips

Snow Patrol - FLips

Dizzee - FLips

KOL - FLips

Lady Gaga - FLips

I'm a huge lips fan. I think the fact that I have taught myself to play at least half their back catalogue on acoustic would prove my dedication to their music (the other half being unplayable - for me anyway). That said I have seen them recently and already have tickets for Green Man to see them in August so I would possibly skip them to see ;

Bowie

RATM

Daft Punk

Depeche Mode

Dweezil Zappa playing Frank Zappa

Even then it would be tough choice made on the day I think depending on mood and company.
