  • 2 weeks later...

tbh i couldn't see 30STM that low anymore & also at download they announced a tour in november (ish) and said it would be their last for quite some time over here so i'd say that more or less rules them out.

Foo Fighters at DL next year if anything too i reckon.

oh and it needs some InMe.

;)

Foo Fighters and Muse possbily next year with a older heavy rock band on the final day at leeds.

Aerosmith maybe again but id have a quid or two on Foo Fighters next year. Already saving me monies to go!

This years line up is a pretty mellow one in my opinion but its a line up that can please everyone on each day.

the offspring deserve to headline?

blink 182 just about to deserve to headline and many people are complaining about them. they were far bigger than the offspring and the fact that they split up and got back together adds to the draw. i don't know anyody listens to the offspring anymore (saying that i don't know anyone who listens to pop punk anymore as i'm 27! ). they are irrelevant and although were relatively big when they were around they are not legends.

newish bands that could maybe headline one day is really hard to judge. it depends on things that aren't necessary music related.

i could possibly see..........

the gaslight anthem

the temper trap

the national

i also really like dinosaur pile up and even though they haven't got an album out every song on their ep is better than anything the foo fighters have done since colour and the shape. hopefully they can keep knocking out good songs for a few years!

i recon rage will again too. although its only a 3 year gap, the mass demand/populirty for them after the christmas affair just makes it seem so possible, particulary with this new album prospect

Also the dude ripping on my them crooked vultures suggestion. You have a point, but i cnt see any other band realsing a album anytime soon that would bost them to a headliner slot? unless my chemical romance do, but yhr, wayyyy to risky to put as a headliner me thinks, and unlikly there next album will be a success.

going back to your main argument with album sales, have arcade fire atualy sold that much? (in this country)

    • Seems the addition of the Sun Stage area is interesting. Suspect this is the area where the Stage 4 used to be pre-2024. Looks as though they want to try create some space to keep people in amongst the arena post-headliners, rather than just crowds all descending back on the campsite entertainment at once.
    • 2000 Trees - 3 Day Tickets on Concert for Carers to buy (pair £15) sure they will not have them for long, I cant check if they are still available as it now says I have already bought tickets.
    • times and technology has changed , a pyramid headliner is often about the show thats put on as much as the music like it or not and as much as many would like to you cant really blame an artist for trying to get the best out of the set both for the audience in the field and for the cameras also .... Beyonce was 15 years ago
