Arcadia was immense last year. This year will no doubt be just as good although there is a lot less electro/breaks DJ's they all seem to be in the Dance village this year which I am a bit gutted about.

History of Breakbeat with Aquasky will be off the hinges.!

arcadia was immense, especially the saturday evening for far too loud, freeland and alex metric.

prob the best thing ive ever been to at glasto and ive been going since 1992!

however, this years arcadia lineup seems pretty weird. is it just me or are they all low key names and strange music? ive hardly ever heard of most of them. will there be some slightly bigger acts confirming? seeing as they are extending the area and it must be pretty high on most acts/djs stages to play.

deep dark house, breaks, techno and d'n'b seem to especially suit it......

Rachelbon...you dont queue for Arcadia, you just squash in as best as possible and wait for the woomph woomphs to start and then the rest of the night just flies by.

Obviously by the planned move back to its old spot - where Trash was last year, this MAY cause crowd problems as the area is only so big. I really do hope that security arent too twattish and keep thousands upon thousands of waiting hordes out while the lucky few get to party in the area :P

Arcadia was wee in comparison back in 2008 when it was in that space.

Oh and I hope there are plenty more toilets! :P:P

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
    • Glad I’ve still got it booked off for my 50th
