I personaly cant imagine coldplay not being there in some form as chris martin loves the festival so much.

Didn't stop them not being there last year, or the year before, or the year before, or, etc, etc, etc.

Each year locals "guaranteed" they would be. This year might be no different.

They're currently recording. No one with connections to them of various sorts seems to think they'd break that off for Glasto, but it's not impossible.

Gone a bit off topic here - A bit uncalled for some of the comments.

I would like to see Coldplay actually. I'm sure i'll make the effort if they were there as we camp in Webbs Ash anyway.

I would be surprised if the TBA's at the beginning of each day on Pyramid were not relatively big acts, as i think they know that people would be expecting something interesting to be announced. They've never done this before as far as i'm aware...

hmmm...still won't tell us who the on again/off again 4th headliner b4 your hero Bruce was supposed to be last year, Neil?

If i had to make a guess i still think they'll be on this year. but that is not based on LMD or his mate. reading some of his reasoning puts me less and less likely to believe this mate is just someone who's making a guess like we all are. his mate probably read it on efests.

As I understand it Gwyneth Paltrow likes the freedom and thrill gained by going commando but doesn't like the cold breeze around her own special theatre, so often the curse of going 'clunge out'. Therefore she has found that the 'full bush', the much beloved 'natural' look championed by Susan Boyle and Little Jimmy Cranky offers some good insulating properties. However, Chris Martin is less than keen on this natural style of minge care because of an incident which occured when his hair was all long and curly when, during an act of oral pleasure their long respective curly hair worked like velcro and they got stuck together for nearly 27.25 hours. They only managed to free themselves when their resident house dwarf El Pancho found them attempting to drink their own tears in an effort to stave off their ever increasing thirst.

That's what it says on her website anyway.

From Emily Eavis' twitter:

@glenntosek No Coldplay this year. Amazing array of acts across all stages though!

    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
