Any tips on where's best to camp.... We arrive from the east so should normally park in the E car parks, although last year we took a wrong turn and ended up at the E car parks...

1st year there we pitched at Hitchin' Hill... what a bugger it was to climb that friggin hill with our gear, and then when we were pissed drunk at the end of the night!

2nd year at the Dairy ground... not too bad by all accounts although we did end up here due to our 2-3 mile detour...

Err... yeah. I wasn't suggesting putting an outdoor screen somewhere where there isn't space for it. You'd pick somewhere like the spot of the old outdoor screen, or maybe somewhere on the south side of the site.

They've changed my traditional camping (Williams Greenfields) spot to Crew Camping Only - Guess I'll be in Pennards again this year - or maybe try Holts (if it's dry!) - or Dragon Field (if I can get there early enough!).

Yes, plus one for that. Outdoor cinema was a fantastic idea. Mind you I kind of miss it's original original placement - just at the bottom of what is now the Kidz field I think - a natural amphitheatre. Never forget watching Bladerunner way back in 1993 - that close to the festival madness it was like being IN the film : )

Bushy Ground great for the dance and JP stage but a long walk to anywhere else with the railway line being closed at the south of the field

A few changes there. First time I've seen a map, not been around much since the virus issue.

So forgive me if it's been mentioned but I checked SeeTickets and tickets are 'in stock and will be dispatched shortly'. Reading that and seeing the map has got me all excited, not long at all now.

Is anyone able to say or determine what specifc area the Hospitality camping will take up this year? Anyone working on site and have an offical map yet, or is anyone on here working onsite yet? (prob too early)

last year they took up the whole of the old cinema field marked "Long Ground" and a chunk of Woodies for stupid Tipis etc. On the 2009 map it was marked yellow as a sepreate colour from public camping and lumped in with crew camping on the map's key.

The way it is labelled this year is very ambiguous. It would be great to know exactly what area will be fenced off for these precious souls!!

I do recall last year their camp site being a pain in the ass and it was in the way with their ugly green protective hording thrown up all over the place! God forbid they mingle with the riff raff .......It made navigating around that part of the festival a nightmare.........

Here VVVV you can see the massive area those gits took up and look at all that wasted space!!!

But hospitality tickets go for double the price of a "normal" ticket don't they? If I was in the industry and bought up a load I would expect something more for my money.

To be fair I am not bothered about it at all. I am very pragmatic when it comes to things changing and just get on with it. There are things that may seem a pain in the backside that could be changed but I just get on with it.

One would hope that if the festival changes it is for the better and whatever is implimented has been given good consideration.

I personally have an impression looking at this years map that mr & mrs average punter are being squeezed out of the middle and pushed to the sides more and more, and for what benifit I cant see.

Its only my opinion, but I would encourage more change in the outer reaches of the fest rather than centralising it all. That way no matter where you are camping you will be near something of note and interest.

There is now SFA camping near the "late night areas" for us, with only a sliver of Dragon left and a reduced sized Holts........ Why not have things happening in say the likes of Bushy Ground, which seems to be in the middle of nowhere in relation to things. Or increase the Entertainment around John Peel so as this is an alternative area to consider plodding about?

Instead we have seen the removal of the cinema field and the installation of a bordered up community!

They are not going to please everyone, and the hospitality is a key component to the festival.
