This just gets worse and worse!!

OK... I'm going to get a grip! This time last week I didn't have tickets for ANY Glastonbury! If we can't stay on Sunday then I shall just have a f*cking fantastic time the rest of the time we are there! There! I shall be glass half full!

Don't want to be the first person on a downer really .... BUT .... For the first time EVER I'm a little disappointed. There are about 7 acts I'd want to see there which aint a lot in the scheme of things.

However, I know I'll still have a great time and I'll attempt to get to know some of those acts I haven't heard of better before the time.

Where is the Queens Head by the way? It was by the Other Stage last time I was there but it moved last year, didn't it?

Whole thing its a bit 'meh' at first look, although i'm sure i'll keep myself entertained.

Looking forward to gang of four though...

Indie-Dance - there are Foals of course, although Spanish Sahara the first single off the new LP is nothing like anything off the debut.

I don't overly like them but Cymbals and Guitars fit that genre too, as do Everything Everything.

also try http://www.myspace.com/egyptianhiphop

I guess Mystery Jets are also bouncy.

Delphic are the major breakthrough of this year though.

I tend to prefer my indie more guitar led so recommend Blood Red Shoes, The National, WAS, These New Puritans off the top of my head that are playing.

Initially I thought it was crap but that was on first glance, but every time I look there a bands that I want to see so badly. It's an absolutely amazing line up and the Eavii have done themselves proud. I do find Scissor Sisters before muse booking a bit WTF?! but other than that it's prettey cool. I will be staying away from the Pyramid stage on Saturday anyway. I'm prettey glad about it though, it does look really fantastic. The Flaming Lips and U2 clash is HIDEOUS though.

Now time to bring my friend round so that he can see it and we can decide on what we are going to see together. Very very excited now :P

    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
    • I mean...I do think it all needs more regulation, but god knows how when it's all so global...but there's so much stuff on there that is messing with our little minds. But also, he has given these companies till September, and well...he'll surely be gone by then. I think social media ban for under 16s will likely happen, but I think regulating it for everyone is better. It's the not the kids we should be worried about, it's all those middle aged doom scrolling keyboard warriors like me.
    • I agree the prices are tough for locals. You can see if Porto timetable is the type that works for you and it's a terrific city. Also cheaper. https://www.primaverasound.com/es/porto/lineup-porto
    • thanks XXialac! i guess for us the most important aspect will be a festival that starts very late in the day, specially in these southern countries were it can be really hot! The combination of visiting a new city, having good lunches and enjoying a festival is a absolute must for us. Also, we like headliners but the undercard is just as important; truly enjoyed Men I trust, NewDad, Big Thief this year so from that angle it is not really a big thing if a festival is somewhat smaller.    Apparently my bad, i had 5 in my system but 0.5 (10%) increase is still huge. I am not sure how teenagers can afford these prices............
