I'm not having a go, everybody has their own taste in music, and obviously much of what's been announced so far hasn't tickled your fancy...but Glasto is a much more varied festival than most others (hence there will be a festival's worth of acts you have never even heard of), but it generally has something for everybody...

...so, just as a matter of interest, which exciting new bands or contemporary acts would you be after? There's quite a few new/upcoming/contemporary acts already on the TBC list eg Muse, Band of Skulls, Ellie Goulding, Dizzee, Florence, Blood Red Shoes, Gaslight, Vampire Weekend, Mumford & Sons, Simian Mobile Disco....to pick a cross genre selection of those listed as pretty much nailed on to play...so, what is you are after??

Just wondering if people are starting to think that with all the "Legends" who are appearing if Glasto is in danger of turning into a 80's reunion festival. A few legends here and there are good but there does seem to me to perhaps be a bit too many older acts so far.

U2, Stevie Wonder, Ray Davies, Wille Nelson, George Clinton, Orbital, Faithless, Boy George, Stranglers, Andy Williams

All good acts but all past their best now especially in terms of new material. Tthe balance seems a bit too swayed towards the older acts rather than exciting new acts

Bigger stories tend to be harder to keep under wraps and big stories tend to be reunions or artists who don't tour much anymore. More people in the industry are likely to know about say U2 playing than some up and coming band aint they

Not that this has anything to do with the topic, but the word 'gay' has just really shifted semantically, like it did in the past when going from being 'happy' to 'homosexual.' I don't think the majority of people who use that word in a negative context are referring to the homosexual meaning these days. Those who do are idiots.

where i live, the term "a worthy" (as well as the obvious "were not worthy) is like one of a group of old men, who are usually found in the pub at 1030, drinking whisky, pi**sing themselves, then away outside to sit in the village square and vocallay abuse folk, then back into the pub till closing, with their very own bar seat, and get angry when people/outsiders sit in it not knowing. BUT the folk of the wee village love them as if they are eccentric, and part of the fabric of the village (which i guess they are), although it is used in a derogatory way - "(insert name) is a f**king Worthy"

I never thought about "worthy farm" in that light untill now

I'm sure mouth didn't think he was acting in such a way, and I don't mean for this to sound like a witch hunt, but it's a pet hate of mine when people say 'that's gay' meant in a negative way. It's childish and stinks of crass ignorance.

It's up there with 'lol' and 'lmao' etc as terms that make my skin crawl and ranter in me rushes straight to the surface! Don't do it, people!! You sound really quite simple.
