Regardless of whether you like them, MCR are pretty likely.

It depends on how well the new album does, but if it does very well, (which i can see it doing), then their live comeback has been successful enough for Festival Republic to take a risk, especailly if the other headliners are particularly strong.

2 albums (at the time tickets went on sale) with chart/commercial success, a bit of a joke to people outside their target audience, found success by producing similar music to bigger/more established bands who are/were popular when the burst onto the scene.

I'm fairly sure the above applies to both Arctic Monkeys and MCR, except possibly the 2 albums bit as I'm not sure how commercially successful the MCR album before The Black Parade was.
