"Hard Rock International is getting ready to throw Stevie Wonder the biggest 60th birthday party ever when he headlines Hard Rock Calling on Saturday 26 June in Hyde Park this summer. 50,000 fans are expected to sing Happy Birthday to Stevie as he celebrates six decades on planet earth this year"

According to Wiki, his birthday is in May?

He WILL play. Hyde Park's a warm up, obviously. More importantly, Jamiroquai are supporting - surely going to come along to Glasto on the Sunday as well. Would be genius. Jamiroquai, Faithless then Stevie. Love it!

100% correct.

However, they might do some of the actual paperwork together, as it could bring both sides a cost saving. But note that I'm only saying 'might' - I don't know it's the case.

I think it's the cost that's to blame. I don't think it's too bad, considering it's a full day thing, but Stevie/Pearl Jam at £50 are a lot cheaper.

I saw Aerosmith at HRC one year. It's a gig in a field with a couple of small tents, highly commercialised and about a tenth of the size of Glasto. It's good for what it is ; specifically Londoners who want to go home after a gig.

It ain't no festival. How can it be a festival without camping?
