Nelly The Elephant song

To Bombay

A travelling circus came

They brought an intelegent elephant

and Nellie was her name

One dark night

she slipt her iron chain, and of she ran

to Hindustan and was never seen again

oooooooooooooooooo...

Nellie the elephant pack her trunk and

said goodbye to the circus

of she road with a trumety trump

trump trump trump

Nellie the elephant packed her trunk

and trumbled of to the jungle

of she road with a thrumety trump

trump trump trump

Night by night she danced to the circus band

When Nellie was leading the big parade she looked

so proud and grand

No more tricks for Nellie to performe

They taught her how to take a bow and she tooked

to crowd by storm

oooooooooooooooooo...

Nellie the elephant pack her trunk and

said goodbye to the circus

of she road with a trumety trump

trump trump trump

Nellie the elephant packed her trunk

and trumbled of to the jungle

of she road with a thrumety trump

trump trump trump

The head of the heard was calling far far away

they meet one night in silver light

on the road to Mandaley

oooooooooooooooooo...

Nellie the elephant pack her trunk and

said goodbye to the circus

of she road with a trumety trump

trump trump trump

Nellie the elephant packed her trunk

and trumbled of to the jungle

of she road with a thrumety trump

trump trump trump

Nah twatts :P

Look your not going win, just leave it at difference of opinion. Either way Eminem atm isn't likely for glasto, accept other people feel differently about him to you and we can all move on and sing Nelly The Elephant together :P

and here's betting that the first intoxicant they got a taste for was alcohol.

Why does cannabis get the blame, but not alcohol? There's just as much of a causal link from alcohol as there is from cannabis.

There are millions of people who drink alcohol and don't do anything else, I'm sure more that those whom smoke cannabis and don't move on to harder drugs.

But then again people can do more drugs while under the influence of alcohol. e.g. E, coke etc, some of these people may have never tired cannabis to start with.

Alcohol and tobacco causes a stupid amount of deaths where cannabis doesn't, but to ban them will be to bigger task and would prob cause a public uproar. It's easy to make cannabis illegal as there demand for it isn't like alcohol or tobacco, and people don't depend on it!

I don't think Eminem means what he says at heart etc but it's not the fact people think calling people a faggot is a bigger crime than the listed above....It singling out one group of people.....last thing I remember what was like that they loved somebody called Martin Luther King and hated somebody called Hitler.

Ok its not quite on the same scale but its only one person to start it all....look how many people follow Hitler.

I doubt it will go NO way as far as that, but I just don't see it "truly f**ked up" that people feel that way. It wasn't bad or really a crime when Hitler hated the Jews, but when he go power.... I think you'll agree with me it was one of the BIGGEST crimes to man!

But like I said, it wont be like that but just think how that can make that person feel!

I love Eminem, would like for him to play but do agree she shouldn't play them songs if he did!

Very true. One of the only reasons Canabis is a worse gateway drug is the fact you have to get it from illegal sources, some of which offer products that are much more harmful. Take away the illegal aspect and let people buy it from normal shops and the 'gateway drug' argument goes away in my opinion.

It's not just in your opinion actually. I recall reading a study in the New Scientist based on the number of hard drug users in Holland, where cannabis is decriminalised, and statistically the number of users of heroin and cocaine there is lower than in the UK per head of capita.

On the subject of Eminem. I'm not fussed about him at Glasto, because I don't think he's actually that good. I'm into old school hip-hop, and much prefer acts from back in the day. I'd like to see Ice Cube play for example.

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
