i can easily see U2 being one of the biggest crowds glasto has ever seen and tbh if ppl want to come just to see U2 then go home then let them, means more space for us and makes it slightly easier to get to places, i am just gonna be really pissed off if there is a mad rush of U2 fans who think its their god given right to be near the front so Saint Bono of ireland

I would hope so too, I but given we knew nout about it before the sales it would only be die hard U2 fans trying for tickets on the resale. However we could say the same for Muse and for Mr Wonder.

So from this I strudders, predict a riot... I predict a riot... come T day two "the scum of all scrums......"

Its going to be ace this year isnt it! :P:P hehehehe looking forward to it now typing this!

Heard a funny story about Bono, sorry if this is off topic. But during a tour last year, and in between a song, Bono done the usual story about dying Africans. Anyway he goes into his rant, "Every time I clap my hands someone dies." And apparently a Glaswegian voice shouted back " Well gonna stop f**king doing it then!."

If there's a mad rush of sad U2 disciples pay £185 a ticket in the resales just to see Bonio & Co, who then f**k off for the rest of the fest, then there's a part of me that thinks that X,000's of real Glasto fans who have missed out and that's a bad thing.

However, there is a part of me (the selfish bit) that thinks having the site slightly less packed for the rest of the weekend - especially Trash/Arcadia/Shangri la - would be good.

On balance, I think I'd prefer real Glasto people to get the tickets. If I actually ran into any of the U2 stalkers who post on the fan site I think I may reveal a side of myself that is very un-Glasto.

Aye !

I would prefer it if 100,000 Glasto fans watched U2 than 100,000 U2 fans watching U2 if you

get my drift !

Glastonbury festival has got the biggest act in the world bar none , and it brilliant that they

have got em , the publicity alone is priceless.

I have been going to festivals for over 25 years and when I found out they were a confirmed

I nearly choked

Love em or hate em you cannot deny U2's draw !

in a bit to revive bordom and trying to avoid doing work for uni, i decided to have a look on the U2 forum... i think this is the best reaction about U2 playing

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING WAY TO TREAT FANS,I'VE FOLLOWED U2 SINCE 1982 SEEN U2 OVER 100 TIMES,AND I CAN'T GO AND SEE THEM NEXT YEAR BECAUSE THE TICKETS HAVE SOLD OUT BEFORE I KNEW U2 WERE PLAYING THERE.CAN'T IMAGINE ANY OTHER BAND TREATING THRE FANS LIKE THIS.

Oh.

Hang on...

You're saying U2 charge fans a fee to get inside information on gigs/priority ticket sales so that the major league obsessed nutters can get there first and not miss a gig? :P

So, lets think who benefits from this:

1) Those fans with more money than sense and stalker tendencies;

2) The bands ego by having a dedicated entourage of idolising fruitbats;

3) U2 plc/Ltd's bank account.

f**kers. I hate them.
