ParanoidAndroid86
Calexico - Papita (2/5 - I'm not sure when their next album is due, the last one was about 18 months ago and they played London then, amazing performance in fact) Oasis - Some Might Say (0/5 - can't imagine they'll have resolved their "differences" by June and I'm not too fussed about seeing them either) The Last Shadow Puppets - Time Has Come Again (2/5 - No idea if they'll be doing another record any time soon with the 4th AM's record being made, would make for an excellent early-mid afternoon Pyramid or Other Stage slot though) Guillemots - Cockateels (2/5 - More chance of a Fyfe Dangerfield solo set perhaps, even though he had a minor slot last year) Suede - Stay Together (2/5 - they're doing charity gigs soon but I'm not convinced they'll do further ones. Would be good if they did though) The Beatles - Back in the USSR (0/5 - If only Macca could play a 90 minute penultimate slot or open the Pyramid...) Eels - Blinking Lights... (3/5 - New album - no reason why not) Band of Horses - The Great Salt Lake (4/5 - they're supporting Snow Patrol around that time, despite being superior, and have a new album out in May. They are absolutely brilliant so a decent slot on the Other Stage would be great) Bob Dylan - 4th Time Around (2/5 - Can't really see it happening. I've seen him once at Sheffield Arena about 4 years ago, it wasn't the most memorable gig to be honest. Despite that, I'd love to see him play again - if he considered the set very carefully) Wilco - Forget the Flowers (1/5 - Their last album was released last June and they played an unusually large number of UK gigs in August and November. By checking their site just now I've found out they're doing 3 dates in September just after their End of the Road headline slot. So with a fairly large US tour in March-April, Japan/Aus/NZ all covered in April/May plus two European stints in May and September - with nothing between June-August - they're extremely doubtful. A crying shame as they probably would've put on the finest set of the weekend).
RodimusPrime
1. The Bar-Kays - Knucklehead (4/5) Dunno if there's some kind of Bar-Kays line up playing in some capacity somewhere, but I'd defo leave my tent for them. 2. The Theme Tune from off of Happy Days (0/5) Hmm. Maybe Henry Winkler could walk around the stage going 'eyyyyyyyyy' and then attempt to vault some kind of aquatic predator on waterskis. 3. AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (5/5) If only. 4. Nick Cave - The Lyre of Orpheus (4/5) Doubt he'll play again this year but he was the best act last year. Fact. I'll brook no argument. 5. Ray Charles - What I'd Say (4/5) Bit too dead. 6. Scott Walker - The World's Strongest Man (4/5) Would clearly rule. 7. REM - Good Advices (2/5) Not gonna happen. Which is not really a problem because they're sadly just not very good any more. 8. Arctic Monkeys - Perhaps Vampires is a Bit Strong But (4/5) Well, after all why not? Doubt they'd play this first album make-weight tune though. 9. The Bravery - Tyrant (1/5) Don't know how that got in there, your honour. 10. Daniel Johnson - Devil Town (4/5) Is actually touring at the moment. Not completely impossible? Does my iPod know something?
