drewsstrat
Just a bit of late night fun.. Randomise/shuffle your Ipod/itunes or equivilent by song. Write down the first 10 randomly selected tracks you come up with (skip only if same artist twice) Then give each artist listed a star rating depending on how much you would want them at glasto? Will be interesting to see what bands and different genres get listened to, and perhaps what age groups and tastes we have (although that doesn't always go hand in hand); I suppose its subjective, and may depend on the size of your music collection (i download loads of stuff i'm not really into): Anyway mine 1. The wrong Begining , James dean bradfield *** 2. Push the button, Sugababes * 3. She called up, Crowded house **** 4. Love like a bomb, Oasis *snigger 5. Night run, UFO * 6. Night flight, Led Zeppelin ***** 7. Chains, The Beatles ***** (em , bootleg) 8. Louie Louie, The Kingsmen * 9. My name is (eminem cover), Robbie Williams *** 10. The bitterest pill, The Jam **** Got away lightly there I think;

Feel Good Inc - Gorillaz - Doubtful On the Beach - Neil Young - Not after last year Olsen - Boards of Canada - Would be brilliant but unlikely Love Always Remains - MGMT - Probably playing Map of the Problematique - Muse - As above Edited February 28, 2010 by Zacko

mikeb
Has a quicky looky see on what's loaded on Ye Olde MP3 Stick #1 at the mo ... Hmmmmm, seems to be the Olde Farte Collection with CDs various from the likes of: Pink Floyd, Thin Lizzy, Dio, Tygers of Pan Tang, Bowie, Blue Oyster Cult, Queen, Genesis, Rick Wright, Supertramp, ... OK, maybe best give this one a miss seeing that there's absolutely no chance of any of those and similar playing, primarily because apart from Bowie and Dio they're pretty much all more than a bit dead in one way or another for starters Has a quicky looky see at what's loaded on Ye Olde MP3 Stick #2 at the mo ... Hmmmm, seems to be the Relatively Shiny And New But Kinda Weird Collection with CDs various from the likes of: Breathing Space, Mindflow, Karnataka, T, Mostly Autumn, Anthony Kalugin, Reasoning, Blue Horses, Touchstone, Dream Theater, ... Guess I really need to give this one a miss as well seeing that the chances of any of those playing are also *very* close to if not actually below zero ! But at least they are all 100% alive and available should they ever be required Has a quicky looky see at what's loaded on Ye Olde MP3 Stick #3 at the mo ... B*llox, just Ministry of Sound Annuals various, some old Paul Van Dyk stuff and a load of really old stuff from twelveinch.com Oh b*gger, I give up cos the only Glasto act amongst 'em is Bowie and he's allegedly defo not playing Why couldn't we have done this a few weeks back when I probably had a somewhat more sensible, varied and popular selection of stuff various loaded up on the player itself ! Didn't want to play this game anyways

Mardy
House of Love - I don't know why I love you: Not going to happen is it? half arsed reformation a couple of years ago. Would love to see Bickers and/or Chadwick do something though Marianne Faithfull - What's the Hurry. Extremely unlikely, I'd have thought. Spiral Tribe - Ragga Boom. hahahaha. Old skool festival illegal rave stuff. I'd love it, but can't really see it. OysterBand - Red Barn Stomp. Yeah, they might turn up on the avalon/acoustic. Who knows. Played before, certainly Mark Olsen - Bells of St Mary's. No idea, really don't know much about him really Mungo Jerry - Long Legged Woman Dressed in Black. Wasn't there some mention of them on here a few months ago? Calexico - The Ride. Again, no idea, are they still going? Doubt it althoguh there's always one or two surprises (usually on the avalon). Remember the marvellous Handsome family playing and about 5 people watching. Nick Cave - Cannibal's Hymn. Played last year, so unlikely for this year, I guess Woodentops - Tuesday/wednesday. Haven't they just reformed? Might turn up in the John peel, I suppose. Specials - Blank Expression. We can but hope. Ted Hawkins -You've changed. He's Gorn. Planted. So unless they dig him up, no chance.

Langdale Wolf
James - She's A Star (I'd love to see James - not impossible...) Frank Turner - Sunday Nights (more than likely) The Who - You Better You Bet (not this year) The Velvet Underground - Who Loves The Sun (I wish!!) Show of Hands - The Preacher (I'd be surprised if SoH DIDN'T play this year) Pink Floyd - The Happiest Day of Our Lives (not going to happen - would be my ultimate dream) The Beatles - Yesterday (I'll have to make do with my memories of Macca singing this in 2004) Nirvana - About A Girl (Unplugged) (Something tells me this is rather unlikely) Gary Wright - Dream Weaver (How cool would this be for a 'Wayne's World' moment?!) Stevie Ray Vaughan - Cold Shot (ignoring the fact he's dead seeing SRV at Glasto would have been incredible. The guy was a genius) So there we are. 2 are dead 2 have headlined in recent years hence unlikely 2 have broken up and although I'd love them to reform ain't going to happen 1 I haven't a clue about 3 are possibilities
MrZigster
Radiohead - Paranoid Android (Paranoid Andoid) - A great start to to the game I think - No Chance (but maybe Thom York?) Tears For Fears - Ideas as Opiates (The Hurting) - No Chance. David Lee Roth - Yankee Rose (Spanish version) - (Sonrisa Salvaie (Spanish version of Eat 'em And Smile)) - No Chance. Metallica - The Shortest Straw - (Greatest Hits Vol.2) - No Chance. Queen - Keep Yourself Alive (Queen) - No Chance. Arctic Monkeys - The View From The Afternoon (Who the f**k are The Arctic Monkeys? EP) - Hmm, Alex Turner somehow maybe. The Kinks - You Really Got Me (from 100 Greatest Guitar Solos thing some nerd put together) - Weren't there rumours of a Reunion? (This came on REALLY LOUD. I really like The Kinks.) Kate Nash - Birds (Made of Bricks) - New album out in April so a very good bet. Portishead - Cowboys - (Portishead) - Don't think so. Hot Chip - Look After Me - (The Warning) - Nailed on. Wow. That was amazing (bar one, and only then because of the version). I really enjoyed that. It usually throws up a right old bunch of shit. I was expecting to be skipping through most of them, but listened to the lot. I have seen four of those acts at Glastonbury. I missed the Radiohead years and skipped Ray Davies because he clashed with something else, to my eternal regret for both. Spooky. It's like my PC was picking up my Glasto Vibes at the end there. geztival_09
Biffy Clyro - That golden rule - (Quite likely, recent album/playing T etc) Scissor Sisters - Filthy/gorgeous - (Probably not, unless they do release that 3rd album) Amy Winehouse - Take the box - (Very unlikely ) Example - Won't go quietly - (TBC on the rumours list) Bob Marley - Could you be loved - (Not gonna happen) The XX - Crystallised - (Maybe) White Lies - Farewell to the fairground - (Think they played last year? ) Franz Ferdinand - Do you want to - (I'd love it, but I think they played last year too) Radiohead - Karma Police - (No chance...sorry guys) Muse - Knights of Cydonia - (I think it's probable... )

Again, very much doubt it. Bathroom Gurgle - Late of The Pier. (Why?!) I guess there's a good chance. Substitution - Silversun Pickups. I doubt it, not a very Glasto band I guess. The Warning - Hot Chip. I think it's likely? Cat People (Putting out the Fire) - David Bowie. Alas, not gonna happen. This Mess We're In - PJ Harvey and Thom Yorke. GOD I ****ING HOPE SO! For either of them. Staring At The Sun - TV on the Radio. Again, I really hope so. Still Ill - The Smiths - Very low chance. Maybe Morrisey? Maybe? 12:51 - The Strokes - Nope. I don't think so. lac999
Arctic Monkeys - Dangerous Animals: * (Would like to see it but have said they're not playing) Soulsavers - Pharaoh's Chariot: ** (Not impossible but unlikely) Gnarls Barkley - Going on: ** (Again unlikely but again would love to see it) Metallica - The Unforgiven III: ** (Will probably never happen as Mikey E doesn't like heavy bands, but they would be great if they ever played) The Kinks - Lola: *** (Talk of a reunion, probably counts for nothing - Ray Davies is the closest we'll ever get) Nirvana - Lithium: * (He dead) Wham - Last Christmas: * (Just no) Golden Earring - Radar Love: ** (No idea what they're doing now, but I assume it's not Glasto) John Lennon - Imagine: * (See Nirvana) Muse - Take a Bow: ***** (Happening - saw them in October; will be seeing them at Wembley; and hope to see them at Glasto) Rating is how likely they are to play. Thanks iPod!
robalotalob
All Nighter - Elastica - Most unlikely although following the Blur, Verve trend, possible? Orange Glow - Simian - Maybe in the form of Simian Mobile Disco. Golden Retriever - Super Furry Animals - A possibility?? The Tiger - DJ Shadow - Outside chance Its A Bad Word - Teenage Fanclub - Doing gigs so maybe, would make my day. Revolution - Beatles - I don't think Eavis can pull off these kinds of miracles. Last Living Souls - Gorrilaz - Alban says no. Slow This Bird Down - Boards of Canada - They only do a gig every decade so unlikely Go It Alone - Beck - Possible?? Indo Silver Club - Daft Punk - The best bet out of the 10 I reckon.

CrispyRed
OK Here goes Doves – Outsiders ** Would always be welcome as far as I’m concerned but unlikely having done it last year The Adverts – One Chord Wonders * Don’t think they’ve played together since the late 1970s The Jam – It’s Too Bad ** I really hope not as I would hate to see Weller go back on his word. Solo spot from Weller would be good though Vampire Weekend – A Punk ***** Certainty Smashing Pumpkins – Muzzle * I think we would have heard about it by now Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Maps ** See Doves Kosheen – Empty Skies *** Not beyond the realms of possibility I would have thought and definitely a welcomed addition to the line-up Bright Eyes – No One Would Riot For Less *** Again a possibility I would have thought The Streets –Blinded By The Lights ** Unlikely due to being there last year Dexy’s Midnight Runners – Until I Believe In My Soul * Has anyone heard from Kevin Rowland lately?
