I thought seeing as a lot of people will be banking on others not paying the balance on tickets to get one, I'd start a poll to get an idea from the people on eFests how many we might expect on the resale. I for example paid for 3 x deposits but am only paying for 2 now so thats 1 back in the pot :P

You stand to get much better information if the zero option is included. That way you could get some idea of what percentage of tickets booked are likely to get cancelled. This won't give you any idea of the tens of thousands of orders that won't be cancelling any of them - like our order.

Without the zero option you find out how many tickets are going back into the pot from the efests forums.

what you need now is to know how many tickets efesters have bought, not just a zero option.

i.e. 1000 bought, 10 returned would equal 1% return rate.

just saying I never returned any tickets tells us nothing, we dont know how many you had. Like I said we need sales figure and returns figure to be able to tell anything.

I take a different view many may have bought ticket hoping for a mega set of headliners being the 40th but lineups are all in the eye of the ticket holder. With the tickets selling so quickly some many have bought on the off chance. Finances ae also a lot tighter as we (hopefully) are on the way out of recesion not going in. I say 3% returns

The only thing that would make me cancel would be my untimely death and even then I think I'd still go in some form or other . . . . . . probably as a vodka infusion to be shared around the camp, Moscow Mongrel Mule anyone?

I will have to cancel my three tickets,now that two have changed ther mind about going now. While i'm gutted and really very angry with the two who pulled out, my other half is over the moon as she is going this weekend to book us a two week holiday instead. I have voted and will be asking for a refund tomorrow,or may leave it till Monday when the phone lines are a little less busy at See Tickets :P:P:P

The deed is done,have cancelled my three tickets....bit gutted about it. I know next year though not to trust so called mates,who pulled out. At least i will get all my ticket money back as there paying any deductions. I know you will all say why did you not come on your own,done that in the past and its not for me. So my other half has booked us a two week holiday in Cyprus,she can't stop smiling now. I am hoping though to get tickets now for Paul McCartney in Cardiff as i can squeeze that in just before we go away,and at least she will come to that. Enjoy your Glastonbury....I hope to be back next year.

    • It's the photo that keeps on giving;
    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.
