can you play piano? like properly sit down and write a song with a piano, and then write lyrics to it, and then sing them whilst wearing huge outfits and dancing around?

she is talented.

your opinion maybe, but come up with something better than "its shit" you sound like a moody teenager

Bloody Hell, all I do is post my opinion, even say I wouldn't care if she played. and people still continue to argue with me.

You probably think some bands are shit, and I have the right to think Lady Gaga is shit. But if we all had the same opinions about bands, life would be boring wouldn't it? Stop useing petty arguments. I don't like Lady Gaga at all. But if you do then that's fine, whatever floats your boat.

Yes anyone an play guitar if they want to. Most D.I.Y bands of the 70s couldn't play their instruments properly and they were still bloody good. I didn't mention a thing about all guitar band being talentless. I like guitar music, I like electronic music too, I think both people in those genres are very talented. I just don't like Lady Gaga. So that argument is pointless really.

you are entitled to your opinion and what i posted was my opinion, you implied that anyone can play a piano and the fact lady gaga can doesnt make her talented, when it does, if you can play an instrument our talented, if you can sing your talented, the same as if you can juggle you have talent, my problem was that you just said "shes shit" without giving any critical reason other than "anyone can play piano", if you want to give your opinion word it better, "i think shes shit" would be more appropriate, sorry for seeming like im talking down to you but it really bugs me when people say things are shit with no reason as to why and then complain when people bite back

im not a fan of everything but i wouldnt go posting in a thread about artist i didnt like saying they are shit and talentless

if you dont want people to lash out at your opinions make them clearer

Not a huge fan, but dont hate her... If she plays anywhere this summer, it will be pretty high up, even for show alone I reckon. Based on her Brits performance shes improved quite a bit sinse the summer too.

Oh and +1 to Bad Romance being amazing, you know the power of that song when even Rock Clubs are bashing it out and people are moshing away to it, i like this remix personally...

And I'm sorry for not making my opinion clearer, I was in a rush to go somewhere (had a dentist appointment) so couldn't post an elaborate critical response, but if you want the real reason why I don't like her that much then here it is:

Basically, I don't really like mainstream radio music, I can bare some of it but stuff like Gagas music I just can't stand and she really grates on me. I was talking to my dad about this in the car and I agree with him, she must be an extremely intelligent lady, she clearly knows exactly what she is doing and she knows that she will sell millions of records with the music that she makes. But the problem I find with her kind of music is because it all sounds exactly the same to me. I cannot find any difference between her and other bands in that type of genre. And that's the same reason why I don't like heavy metal that much. I like different and interesting sounds and to me her music is very samey and boring. I also suppose that if she can play piano then she does have a bit of talent in her.

However, if you like Lady Gaga then fair play. The world would be incredibly boring if we all had the same taste. I am sorry that I didn't post a clearer opinion before, I just didn't have the time. I hope that you understand now :P

way to miss the point

i'm a fan of nick cave and the bad seeds and loved them last year they were one of my highlights.

it is possible to like both, and drawing comparisons is moronic.

dunno why i even bothered posting as the person who said it is just a snobby troll who misses the entire point and meaning of glastonbury if she feels it ok to use it to put other events down.

all you ever see from her is negativity and stuck up arrogant snobbish bullshit.

the absolute woirst thing about glastonbury is c**ts like this who use it to supposedly elivate themselves above others.

c**ts plain and simple and well kept clear of.

There's a mash up of Bad Romance with Don't You Want Me by the Human League somewhere on the interweb, tis awesome.

I'd love to see her, although I think the "show" would be more spectacular at one of her proper gigs than at a festival.

Like someone said before - verrry good marketing, very clever and I think funny artist.

I thought she was absolute tripe before I saw her last year, and then I changed my mind, thought she was great, completely different view from the person who said she was flat - was set of the festival for me, but different strokes for different horses.

    • Remain self-imposed on not going north of a hundred, but... we're getting to the point now where the starting gun will be above that for some acts.
    • I'm finding the lower line up a little impenetrable this year   Any thoughts on heavier bands a la Slift a few years ago?
