Capacity Crowds...

Apologies if this info is readily available anywhere - if so please point me in the right direction.

I was wondering about the capacities of the stages. Obviously it isn't an exact science, but for a fairly full headliner how many people would be able to fit in the pyramid field? What about the other stages?

Anyone have any idea?

Yeah, seem to recall having read somewhere that the he had about 10-12k people there before police closed off the area and stopped allowing people in. I got there at 11 that day to watch the couple of other acts before Rolf so I could be at the front, lying back with my many Brothers cider in the sweltering heat soaking up the rays. Stood up for the first time as he came on, looked behind me and had a jaw-dropping moment when I saw the fookin enourmous amount of people who'd turned up. One of my festival highlights for sure! :P

Here's what the Festival people say, not exactly fully-detailed (I can imagine why they might not want to hand out precise figures) but it provides point of reference for the other stages.

"Sorry, I do not know, for it depends how far back (and sideways) you reckon a stage audience ends, and also things like what the crowd is doing (ie standing, or sitting, or dancing. As a rough measure it is reckoned that the Pyaramid arena up to Furlonger Lane is able to comfortably hold 60,000 to 80,000.

In peace, Infoman"

I recently stumbled across this while researching other things:

The combined arena space at Worthy Farm can evidentially comfortably cope with the numbers applied for, should, exceptionally, all ticket/pass holders be on site at the same time. Using the industry standard formula, the Pyramid Stage arena can hold in excess of 90,000, the Other Stage almost 40,000, the Jazz Stage some 25,000. These venues can more than comfortably accommodate the licensed numbers.

    • Had a lovely day in Prague now off to the festival. Very excited hope we all have fun regardless of weather!!
    • Iran are winning. If US aren't going to do the full invasion thing, then they may as well admit defeat and do what is needed to get the strait opened. Iran obviously have decided they can take any pain and stick it out as they have all the cards with this Hormuz thing. But obviously Trump can't admit defeat, and Israel just want this to keep going...and maybe it will carry on like this till after elections in both US and Israel towards the end of this year. God knows how the global economy will be by then.
    • All kicking off in N Ireland, all aided and abetted on videos that get circulated on social media and Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson telling people to take to the streets. Social media needs regulating same as publishers, if they have algorithms that push whatever to people then they are effectively publishers anyway. The problem is just going to get worse and worse.
    • A lot of acts put him up on their Insta seems to have touched a lot of hearts across the industry, didnt know too much about him but read a bit now seems like great guy
