Kasabian!!!

They rarely play Glastonbury (2004, other stage perhaps?) and I think they would fit in well before a 'legend' artist. I'd love the mix of Kasabian fans and 'legend' fans in the in-front-of-barrier area from about 8pm onwards...they even had a #1 album last summer, and when has Stevie last had one? so i reckon they could even get a bigger crowd than stevie (and if they do get a big crowd don't try telling me that all them people were there trying to get 'positioning' for br...err stevie)

Just looked on Doves' website, and these are their June dates:

11th Jun 2010 Seaclose Park

Isle Of Wight Festival

12th Jun 2010 Suffolk

Thetford Forest

13th Jun 2010 Dores

RockNess

They've only just announced RockNess - so I'm a little bit more optimistic about their chances of appearing......

I was told yesterday by a friend working for a music distribution company that Loretta Lynn is considering glastonbury 2010 on the back of her own 40 years retrospective being released...would imagine mid-afternoon would suit her better than before Mr Wonder?

    • I'd assume he's out of the nominal price range, but... stranger things have happened. Bit Marmite, isn't he, though?
    • Know that it isn't unheard of for a band to headline Glastonbury - for I assume that is all Fontaines would accept now - and play their own stadium/outdoor shows in the same summer, but it feels unusual for British/Irish acts, no?
    • Is anyone attending the Morcheeba/Faithless gig(s) on 10th? Our flight time has been brought forward slightly and, although I can't imagine we'd get there in time for Morcheeba, I think Faithless is doable.
    • I Was There the last time Kyie appeared to do this - 2018ish at APE.  What a treat.  What do you think of the current setlist? Am seeing him next Friday, all being well.
    • I havnt even seen the booking page since 2018 i think, its been absolutely brutal - prior to that i was 'the fella with the knack of sorting out everyone's tickets' cos i'd lead with the groups and the organisation of it all, and tended to be the first one through and sorting out a great swathe of us, and now i'm a know-nothing bum again 😄
