Kasabian!!!

They rarely play Glastonbury (2004, other stage perhaps?) and I think they would fit in well before a 'legend' artist. I'd love the mix of Kasabian fans and 'legend' fans in the in-front-of-barrier area from about 8pm onwards...they even had a #1 album last summer, and when has Stevie last had one? so i reckon they could even get a bigger crowd than stevie (and if they do get a big crowd don't try telling me that all them people were there trying to get 'positioning' for br...err stevie)

Some of these posts are absolutely rediculous. Rage against the machine before Stevie Wonder? Come on guys that just wont work!!

Sometimes I don't think people actually think about weather a certain band would work before a certain act clearly specialises in a genre, Machine Head and Rage just wont work! You need something like Earth Wind and Fire or Smokey Robinson before Stevie Wonder.

i like your thinking but im not sure we need a total motown night

its an important slot so it cant be taken lightly, but it doesnt need to be too heavy, it needs to be an act thats great live, with a repotoire big enough to fill an hour & 15 mins, with big numbers that can get the crowd up for the night and most importantly it needs to have a real big feel good factor.

i wonder if russycarps knows a band that meets the given criteria
