So, a pop up tent and a camping toilet

Had the idea a couple of years ago and I'm surely not the first. there's only 2 of us so what about a pop up tent next to your real tent with one of those campervan toilet thingies in it that you can use and empty every now and again. Better than queues no?

Obviously only for number 1er's only!

What say ye??? :P

Get your other half a funnel + comfort bottle and she will be fine! And Tesco own make do a 4 litre bottle which still has a wide neck! We will now all be doing spot the bottle on the walk of shame to empty it down the loo - I too hide the bottle in a bag. Still use this method even though we have a caravan as we don't use the onboard loo, too close to sleeping/cooking area for my liking plus its so much to empty then the caravan loo. :P

When I were a lad, if you needed the loo in the night, you had to get up and go for a short walk, even when you were at home.

When my parents were young, outdoor toilets were the norm.

Surely, when you're camping, it's not too much imposition to get up and use the toilets?

Especially when the alternative is to mess around with bottles and funnels and bags of crystals. All that stuff is a revolting accident waiting to happen. A revolting accident you'd have to sleep in.

You know those mornings when you pick up the wrong bottle and take a swig of vodka instead of water? What about when you're spangled and you think that's whisky you're about to take a mouthful of, or mix with coke?

I use a bottle at night if I can't be bothered to get out of the tent, and I empty it into the long drops. I usually use one of the freebie bags they give you on arrival to carry it there, so it may not be obvious, perhaps others use a bag to carry the bottle to the loo too!

I've seen other people emptying bottles and buckets in the Dragon long drops. I take my fabric conditioner bottle inside the free Glastonbury fabric bag to the toilets, so it's not on view!

Thread reminds me of an old joke.

A girl invited her new boyfriend back to her house for a coffee after the pub one evening. The trouble is, she explained, is I still live with my parents and they’ll be asleep, so we’ll have to be quiet.

Later after the coffee, both were snogging on the settee in the lounge the boyfriend said he was dying to use the loo.

Oh, said the girlfriend, please just go in the sink in the kitchen, that way you won’t wake up the folks.

Okay, said the lad and off he popped.

About 10 minutes later, the girl heard a loud whisper coming from the kitchen.

“Hey” he said, “What should I use for toilet paper?”

Heh :P:P:P

Okay… I’ll get my coat :P
