I miss last year when the headliners were pretty much known by now, I'm gonna have a heart attack with all the rumours flying around this year :P

Would love a bit of Stevie though, Emily must have been lying when she denied he was playing on Twitter? (Guilty as charged to the post above)

Good to see MGMT are (hopefully) going to play, would love to see them in the Sun with a cider.

But Wonder is obviously the bigger deal here :P That fields gonna go off for Superstition...and the rest of his brilliant back catalogue if he plays. Wanted Zeppelin to headline but I'll 'settle' for big Stevie.

record companies often don't know what their acts are doing next week, let alone 5 months away.

In my experience of those in the music biz, people working in record companies have the least accurate info of who is playing where. That doesn't mean they're always wrong, but their record for info received by efests is probably right less than 30% of the time.

My guess would be that SW probably isnt playing. Would love it if he was though.

But in response to what Neil said, which I 99% agree with, maybe Emily wasnt quite playing ball.

From twitter:

@EmilyEavis Are you getting Stevie Wonder!?!?! oh My GOD!!!!!!!

@eddie_metal god no! we love him though..

Maybe they weren't 'getting him', because they had already 'got him'?

:pot-stir:

:P

Isn't it about time they released another name? *checks calendar* mmmm. Not feeling the "suspense" considering we're all expecting Stevie, Muse/Coldplay to be announced.

Not sure what's happened to this thread... firstly, I hear on VERY good authority the the Wonder Man is nailed on, and then I re-visit only find that it has been misenterprepted to mean that GOD is playing..!!!! Maybe SW is on in the slot before GOD...??? COOOOL... what are GOD's hits by the way, apart from Cum By Ah.. (sounds rude to me!)

    • You can judge who you want to get a high slot next with the Lolla headliner performances from the weekend. Cause people think Tate Mcrae is the best thing out there for some reason. And some other cool acts, plus you can laugh at how bad the camera work is cause disney is cheap.
    • Fontaines getting the honour of the last ever BBC Maida Vale session going out on 6 Music shortly.   No Glastonbury relevance (for now.. ), just thought I'd mention it for those who are interested 😎
    • Had a wonderful booking in one of our primary woodland venues this weekend. A 30th birthday arranged by a load of musicians and entertainment industry professionals. It was primarily a folk oriented event, however I noticed one young woman who didn’t seem to fit dress and appearance wise. Turned out to be Frenetic, one of the top up and coming UK Jungle and DnB DJ’s.    Anyway Saturday night turned into an EDM session and I got to do a set. Slightly nervous considering who was there, it was great and Frenetic loved my set. She’s closing Data Mine at Shambala this year.
    • they got lucky and the thunderstorms stayed away. It was still wet of course. Some of those boot sucking puddles did emerge from what a couple friends saw who were there.  Post fest aerial also below   and also a sapphic mud wrestling contest?
