the fertility bit just went nowhere, saying that, bet if you watch it back from the start there would a lot of plot flaws involving the others. I don't mind small gaps, but the bit with ben and smoke monster from season four will piss me off since they wont reference it and it's an unavoidable plot flaw. Only half the download has completed :P time to start maming innocent people :P

In respect of the deadends/plotholes/points discussed, the writer's strike and subsequent streamlining of Season 4 and 5 would've ensured that a fair amount would've needed cutting that probably would've been covered otherwise (The mystery of what happened to Annie etc?)

Seasons 1-3 were 23-25 episodes long, 4-5 just 14-17 episodes and I think they've made the right decision in not extending this season back to 23+.

In the end, I think it worked out better for them as the show became tighter, and I can accept and prefer that not everything is gonna perfectly explained. A whole load of stuff is pretty inconsequentual in the grand schemes, and some questions/plots might just be misplaced belief or superstitions from the people on the island.

...anyways, they're running it a bit tight on how they're gonna explain they're all Egyptian Gods :P:P

Fair enough they gave what i was on about a reference, at least it didn't get swept underneath the carpet.

Disappointed Widmore died, I thought it would be a lot more dramatic. Plus we never found what all these rules were that him and ben kept on talking about, since ben killed him easily enough, so why didn't he just do him in when Ben visited Widmore?

Had to laugh at richard getting thrown straight into the jungle, no doubt he'll appear ten minutes before the end to tell them all how to save the day.

Really shouldn't be considering staying up/ getting up stupidly early to watch the lost finale, but i can see it happening lol.

Don't think it's simultaneous, that'd mean it airs in New York at midnight. UK time, I'd imagine it'll be 2am-4.30 when it airs in the US. Think it'll probably an exclusive premier for ABC, then Sky are showing it at the first possible opportunity. Might be the same with 24 on Monday night too.

When I buy the dvd set and rewatch it, I'll have to skip the first half of this season. It started getting good when we realised the sideways actually meant something (I think it was when Desmond met charlie?) and when Richard's story was explained. My favourite clips by far are the ones with Jacob in it, as they always answer so much while still rasing questions. I'm a little disappointed that there hasn't been more of him and his background, instead of all those early sideways and that pointless temple.

yeah the temple pissed me off. never liked that, even when we thought it might have meant something.

luckily i don't need any dvd/bluray, cos i've got them all saved onto my computer :P just a shame i can't go back and torrent all the other series in 780p.

one thing though that i don't think has ever been mentioned is the 'theme music' for jacob and mib. really really good at setting the mood.

Quite a lot of the temple stuff seems a bit pointless now. Seems like a waste of a large part of the final season. There was quite a bit of filler this series, just so they could ramp it up for the last couple of episodes.

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
    • I have a spare campervan pass to get rid of.  unable to use Kaboodle as it is only entry that they re-sell
