  • Fake mom knew that there was a great evil in the cave, which

is why it must be protected at all costs. Once a human came in contact

with the cave, it broke the seal, releasing the Smoke Monster. Also,

Lucifer (not implying Satan, just evil in general due to the

connotation of the word) comes from lucem ferre,

meaning “Light Bearer”, referring to the “Morning Star”, referring to

Venus. Hence the bright light in the cave. Not to mention that evil can

    be attractive.

That is kind of what I was thinking, still confused though :P

was just thinking though how much i would like the series to end with

Sawyer: Morning.

Jack: Mornin'.

Sawyer: Mind if I join you?

Jack: [shaking his head] Please. Want some fish?

Sawyer: Thank you. I just ate.

[sawyer sits down not far away.]

Jack: I take it you're here 'cause of the ship.

Sawyer: I am. How did they find the Island?

Jack: You'll have to ask 'em when they get here.

Sawyer: I don't have to ask. You brought them here. Still trying to prove me wrong, aren't you?

Jack: You are wrong.

Sawyer: Am I? They come. They fight. They destroy. They corrupt. It always ends the same.

Jack: It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress.

[sawyer stares at his compatriot.]

Sawyer: Do you have any idea how badly I wanna kill you?

Jack: Yes.

Sawyer: One of these days, sooner or later... I'm going to find a loophole, my friend.

Jack: Well, when you do, I'll be right here.

Sawyer: Always nice talking to you, Jack.

Jack: Nice talking to you, too.

If it was gonna be Jack and anyone I would say Locke, the two have always been at opposite ends of the spectrum going back to the whole "man of science, man of faith" stuff.

Althought I dont think Jack will be the candidate...

I usually consider myself a patient person, but i promise now to brutally murder someone if lost hasn't downloaded by the time i come back from the pub later on tonight. Just knowing there's two episodes left means it's going to be something speical, lost always delivers towards the end of a season, although i can't help but shake the feeling that the penultimate episode will be building up to the final, and, staying true to the series, they'll save all the suprises for the 2h30m (effectively three episodes) finale.

well i can't see it ending like it started. and i also can't see it ending like someone posted above with jack and locke on the beach watching a boat.

interested to see what happens with the alternate line off the island and how it merges with the on island timeline.

basically, i've never looked more forward to a tv show than this finale. not even the live coronation street episode :P

To be honest I dont think the writers really knew what they were doing from the start :P The programme is all mddled and stupid questions dont look like they will be answed such as why the polar bear was in the desert. Also like it was mentioned before when Jack says the material is 50 years old it wasnt so its pretty clear they made a lot of it as it went along. Regardless im still stupidly excited and I dont want to be pedantic about an amazing show.

Yeah but how did it end up in the desert? I know it wasnt explicitly explained but maybe that was where the polar bears ended up after experiments? You have well and truly shot me down :P but my point is there will be questions that clearly wont be answered that aren't big in the grand scheme of things but would annoy losties.

Aii I meant Morrocco, I read up and Dharm wasnt just based in jungles so who knows. Anyway yeah I think it will be a good ending my point was just they through things in throughout season 3 which probably weren't going to be answered.

As jack is now the protector of the island, does this mean MIB/smoke mosnter can kill the others cause they are no longer candidates? Also who do we think jacks kids mother is? Obviously a character we know but not someone who was on the plane..........

    • Either or. They both play the same venues.

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
