Honestly - can we stop going on about useless twats like Jedward?

They are not musicians. Music is a form of expression. They don't write their own songs, the songs they choose to perform (I refuse to use the word sing here) are f**king pointless other than a cynical attempt to get people to phone a premium rate number to hand more cash over to those who really don't need or deserve it. It's got nothing to do with expression or art whatsoever.

You end up with two groups of people here - the gullible ones who think that they're the best thing since sliced bread and those who love them thinking it's "ironic", but either way, both buy the t-shirts and the one single and album these acts invaraiably manage before being dropped thinking it's funny and/or clever to support useless, talentless, worthless corporate nobodies such as them.

They quite probably don't give a f**k what they're doing or what song they're singing, all that happens is that your Simon Cowells of the world become f**king rich off fleecing people for complete and utterly meaningless shit.

Please, for f**ks sakes, find someone worthy of support and invest your time or money on them, Jedward aren't clever, funny and have no place near somewhere such as a music festival.

In my honest and unbiased opinion, as someone with a sense of humour fully in tact, I will spontaneously vomit in the direction of anyone who uses the nomenclature 'Jedward' in my presence. Ever.

Just an opinion, kids. I have the same reaction to polystyrene.

:P

If they played, my 7 year old daughter would explode with happiness, she absolutely loves them. You lot all going on about throwing piss and tomatoes at them - grow up!

If you hate them, then just ignore them - to go to the bother of chucking things at them shows you care FAR too much.

I think it would be a good booking; I'd see them over U2, they'd be more fun than hypocritical Bono that's for sure.

I read somewhere that they are considering kid's television work as a career once the X-Factor thing is over. Seems like a fit.

There is something of the Chuckle Brothers about them too.

    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
    • You'd think that something like bad weather was in the basics of festival planning. After the shitshow of Madrid, you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, apparently not...
    • Same. Shower and back out in a taxi!
